Loot scarcity imho is very well implemented, especially at the beginning of the game - it was needed for immersion.
Also you will not have good weapons and have to work your way up and progress in the ZONE.
Its just better game-play overall, much more enjoyable & immersive.
Unlimited, OXA-Standard, LivingZone-Complete + all Shays & Feliche's visual FXs on Veteran is way to go imo for now at least. ( U can always drop down difficulty if needed)

I am not going to spoil things for your but as more you progress in the Zone - more it rewards you.
I like the PDA unlocking implementation, You might have to travel across the ZONE to get that stuff what's in the stash, some times it can disappoint You, sometimes it will reward You.

I didn't say that I don't like it - I was using Proto when I was on MHM2 but as I recently get back on S2 v1.6 - I have dialed in modlist that suits me well and at that time when I was setting it up only OXA Standard was compatible.
I am working mostly to enhance the feel in the ZONE along with visuals and the mods I just gathered the best ones we had at the time and I am keeping an eye on them with latest updates and change logs.
Prototype is awesome stuff ngl.

Hello all, I've been trying to mod my Stalker 2 for a few days now, and no matter what I do, I encounter bugs, incompatibilities, etc, which led me to a realisation:
It seems at least to me that a large amount of modders only upload and update their mods on the steam workshop as opposed to Nexus.
As a GOG enjoyer, our Valve overlords look down on me in pity and shame, barring me from the Steam Workshop.
Is there any way I could download Stalker 2 mods from the Steam workshop?
I've tried a few workshop downloader websites, as well as the official Valve SteamCMD.
In the case of every single website I've tried, the game is unsupported.
As for SteamCMD, you need to own the game ON STEAM in order to use it.
Anyone have any ideas that could solve my issue and release me from the shackles which Valve has imposed upon me?

You can use both. I like to take the workshop mods out of the workshop folder and putting them into my ~mods folder so i don't have to deal with multiple mod folders.

You can get mods from at least 3 different sites, only one of which is exclusive to steam
it is up to the mod author to decide where they post the mods, not gsc's
I agree that there's no reason why people would post on the worskhop when sites like nexus exist, but that's a mistake for each modder to make on their own dime.

i have now removed every single thing of stalker 2 from my pc because the game was crashing everytime i tried to play and a regular reinstall didn't work maybe now a 100 percent clean download should work

Did they ever address the weird damage scaling with the guns? iirc certain guns were like nerf guns and others were too good for what they were? Like the Kiparis and Skif's Makarov were excellent but then you get the M1A and it was like launching foam darts if it wasn't a perfect headshot.

But seriously now, 9x18 penetration has been nerfed, the 1911 is now the best handgun in the game. Rest of the weapons are pretty much similar as they were once

The thing about Doctor is that he could heal anything in the OT mutants and humans alike also, Kaymanov left the C-Con group before the augmented monolith became a reality if I remember correctly so there's no way he'd know about the regenerators unless he was already Faust by that point
