i can understand why theyd take out svd/svu suppressors, the nato snipers need some sort of viability/competition vs the svd/svu

The mark 1 emr currently in terms of stats exists as the weakest sniper compared to the others, although it can be turned into full auto to serve as a versatile weapon. And if you add in a suppressor to the mark 1 with full auto and some recoil upgrades, it can be an ersatz vintar but heavier

The m701 basically had the most power but has the smallest magazine and is bolt action.

The svd and svu both have better stats, semi auto with more common ammo. With the svu being able to have a 20 round magazine. So a suppressor for nato would make sense to add some competativeness against the rus weapons.

Usually the solution is to kill every monolith outside which progresses the quest

You need to kill hostile NPCs. There is a way to unlock the door which is pretty much to either kite some Monolith from somewhere, or aggro whoever is hiding inside the shelter just in front of the house and kill them. This will unlock the door, but then you need to accompany the Monolith out, otherwise they're "pacified" and won't attack anyone. Once outside, they will be hostile. You need to kill them in order to proceed the quest

When S2 released I played until Duga and then never again until last week.. I only have Desolation and nothing else.. I played the game just fine for many hours and now it keeps happening after around 5mins of gameplay.. I did literally every possible fix in the book that I could find online.. I read somewhere that a tiny amount say it could be yet another memory leak (which I thought was fixed).. Could the item bloat in Desolation possibly cause some of these issues? I don't mind starting over yet again I just want a semi-smooth non gamebreaking crash until the end
