@late kernel Whoa, it's actually a lot better. Input lag was lowered, the game is a lot smoother. Not as much blurring of vegetation. Definitely an upgrade compared to the previous DLSS.

The "fix" for lumen as far as I'm aware, is to implement hardware based RT.

known issue, it was once only confined in Rosok and Yaniv, now it has broken out. There's some memory leaks that occur when you open trade windows or something like that, plus AI is overloading the game when loaded in.

Oh you're right in that regard, there is stuff to watch that is interesting on its own in Stalker 2. Just, needs some more focus here and there and some more breadcrumbs to lead you to some places. Idk how to explain, but I was expecting a lot more content from Cordon or Wild Island or Red Forest, at least the same number of interactions/people/stuff to do/little storylines to follow and small sidequests that you get in Garbage or Lesser Zone. Some areas exist only for main story purpose, and it's huge ass areas with not much going on in terms of narrative, and it's a waste.

just having some duty/freedom based content and hunt like missions would help a lot at least rostok/cement factory and adjacent areas. Some more scientist missions, some underground exploration that isn't just tied to main story etc.

Speaking of exploration, that's a LOT of 9x39 out in the wild

And I got there by exploring some areas where I found some Freedomer dead bodies by a train, explored a bit, found a PDA of some freedomer talking about its zombified friend, met said zombified friend (killed him), and opened a shortcut to the truck cemetary. It's nice, but that's the reward, a lot of ammo. Which I can find anywhere else in the zone, see, except for the little immersive moment, I got nothing out of it. I don't even need the ammo.

With groups movign and migrating, chasing away others, mobs moving from area to area etc

With the zone becoming more and more dangerous as the time went on due to Monolith incursions and Freedom/Duty conflict

I think Zalyssia defence is a vestige of that system, and if you ever done the Zalyssia quest you might understand WHY they cut most of it and are fixing it in background

Pretty sure shit was fubar, and without it the game was good enough for release anyway, so they just adopted a more basilar version, and even that one doesn't work properly - it's not supposed to spawn shit on you, but it does.
