Yeah once you reach a certain part of the quest. Particularly when you go to The Swamps (not going to say more due to spoilers) the game will break. You can try to complete the main quest but things just gradually keep getting buggier and buggier until you are hard locked from progressing. This at least is what happened to me. The experience is different with everyone. Some people have no issues.

So. Regarding the starter town. What I think happens is that the trigger for lose condition is not turned off when you finish the mission.

And once you get far enough the NPCs get despawned and that triggers the "town is dead" trigger.

yes arts add onto it. its like a set amount for what ever level but if you have an artifact thats emmiting rads..then your anti rad artifact will take the hit not your armor as armor cant protect you from artifact rads

well, to be fair, some picatinny rails are made for certain sizes of sights, and the caliber can break the sight if it's not meant for that size
