Yeah , on difficulty 10 is now is even worse, they released the Impaler which has infinite range it seems so you get fucked either way
In HD 1 , because the game camera was different , you could see where the Impaler is .
But here you need to search for him while chased by 2 patrols , while the impaler knows exactly where you are and ragdolls you every step

parrying basically does nothing as far as im concerned
and whoever starts the melee first, usually always wins unless a third party comes in
and since a good melee attack will give you armor back, you cant really even shoot them away unless you backstep like crazy
