Thats the great thing about black metal though, the genres purpose is to: antagonize, scare, irritate, defy, discomfort (a bit like punk music).
So when people are like, "I was fine when they were singing about killing the Christians and worshipping Satan, but i wasnt fine when they were singing about the Holocaust and racism.", it causes some introspection/self-reflection, "why am i okay with this message, but not this other message?" (is my morality being applied consistently?)
Me personally, theres alot of garbage NSBM. But theres also some real gems. Also alot of bands who used "NS" as a fad because it was popular, and they thought they could be unique snowflakes in the sea of "satanic" bands.

I agree with your message, I don't really listen to satanic black metal, I have never really liked that, I am not even religous too. But I rarely look into the lyrics of the black metal bands that I listen to, because I cannot even understand what they are saying. I will admit NSBM genre has some great music, but I guess I its just me not wanting to identify with that you know?

i think with a electronic kit its the right call to have it pushed back if youre going for a organic/garage/natural sound, unless its some Mysticum/industrial type stuff. But yeah, i do wish the drums were a little more audible.
