I would say that wot is worse. In WT, you can ignore all this as long as you are ok with slower progress.
In WoT, „gold“ ammo will drain your credits super quickly if you are f2p and even with premium tank and account you might not broke even unless you had a great performance. Also, premiums in WoT are just straight up superior most of the time to the tech tree tanks. There are some vehicles like this in WT but majority of them are still about the same power level as the vehicles around their br.
