I'm 1-2ms away from a backbone node and use services around the world with great latency, yet physics can't be beaten. The servers they use are ok but community driven would increase quality of life for so many people
Funny observation. If I want to play lets say EU servers, I get a ping of 260~ when I tunnel via my VPS I get 40ms to the server and from that 100ms so just by bad routing or w/e they manage to increase latency by 120ms

It's an interesting topic for me. European game servers still hosted by Leaseweb according to the IP, the account heartbeat is handled by AWS, the client metric (i guess) are all sent via cloudfare. Would be fun if tech would be open sourced so you can make sense of some of the problems they experience without digging through network data

The problem with those makeshift "cope cages" is that modern HEAT rounds, from what I read online, have dual fuse setups. With the impact fuse being able to be set to delay / disabled (not sure how that works) a round like the M830(A1) could punch through soft steel grids and still producing enough of a jet to pierce the hull.

If you create a new account using the referal links you can open 1 demo chest on each account. Each time you, at least according to gaijin, have the chance to get a high tier preem vehicle, and if not you can just drop the account and try again
if you ever were to get a preem tank you could either play it, sell the account or you sell it on the old account and transfer the money using a dummy item sale (if an object doesn't have any sell orders for example)
this would most likely take years, if not decades. I'm tempted to try automate this
