Just a quick doodle today. Ironically it was pretty hard for me to do compared to the rest. The objective was precisely to let go, try to draw a little something in 20 minutes and not stop all the time to overcorrect things. I'm trying to practice "doodling" and also having better, more confident lines. Still a lot of work to do on that front but it's going somewhere!

Considered and tried out head-hacking to try out unique portraits that aren't just Man in Mask And/Or Hood. Don't hate it, but it means I have to go find more models of just... normal characters which I'm sorely lacking. (Stalker 2 Duty body, RE3 Carlos Oliviera head, and MGS5 Ocelot glasses). Would also look weird for unique characters if the portrait doesn't match the model so maybe only for player-use.

Well the game has a couple hundred weapons, gigantic open levels with tons of secrets, multiple ways to complete each level, faction systems, augments for gameplay, you can literally climb any ledge, there is a wide variety of enemies, and it's still in early access with like 6 levels to choose from

In the first level, the same as the Demo, there's like 3 whole areas that are absolutely optional and you'll likely totally miss them and they have all sorts of extra weapons and items despite the fact you'll likely be using the Mosin as your bread and butter of the first level

I need all of those polygons for the baking stage, which will transfer all that detail onto a normal map. which will be applied to the low poly. what you see there is about 15million tris but the low poly will probably be 80k at the highest.

Tried more variation in the line weight, I feel like it's more "readable" like that, what do you guys think ?

I feel like the heavier lines would be better if there were a background and colored in. But with just the lines on white I feel the lighter lines are less aggressive at pulling your attention to the outline and is better to see the image as a whole.

So I guess it really depends on where you see the drawing going. If you intend to color, even flat colors, I'd stick with the thick. If not, keep em light on white.

Switching to Clip Studio Paint from Procreate and made this to get used to the new interface! I very much like it, only problem is Procreate is way snappier / less laggy, but CSP has just so many options more, I'll be able to render way better with it I think

I left this chamomile kit in the kin a bit too long buuuuut replanting was a success and hopefully in a couple months I'll have flowers to dry and drink!

I also saved these random sprouts that were in my pot. Pretty sure the smol bois are tomato. I had some planted in this pot 2 years ago. And big boi I am fairly certain is a maple sprout. I replanted them all but forgot to take pictures before I came inside lol.

I'll keep you updated when I find out what they actually are. Maybe I'll be canning tomatoes this year.

lot more focus on survival elements and taking your time
a trip into say garbage could be 30 minutes max on anomaly
on area it could be a couple hours
it has an english translation though fairly poor so its a little bit more difficult for english only speakers to play it
i think its in beta and its not open source so mods for it are few and far between

its got a magazine system and it also has a loadout screen same as anomaly however theres traits you can choose too like in say project zomboid or CDDA

Your stuff makes me want to try out an anime style again even though I left that genre behind (in my artwork, at least) years ago before I started really getting better at digital art with my western-based retro-inspired style. I always really like your colors

What program do you use? I think I remember seeing Procreate, but I know a lot of people (myself included) are using Clip Studio these days.

well, I use Clip Studio for most things at least, except for anything text-related.

I just miss being able to hold a circle to make it perfect, though. That was nice.

Have you taken a look at the 3d models they have loaded into it that you can pose up and, to an extent, morph the body for? It can really help with making more dynamic poses which has been a life-saver for me, because I absolutely suck at poses unless I'm working from direct reference.

The last piece I did was heavily referenced from a 3d scene I had set up along with the Anomaly and Stalker 2 models I have available.

I've known about it, but haven't experimented with it much yet! I have something called PoseMyArt on PC which does essentially the same thing, but having it inside the program could be a game changer too. I'll play around with it more

idk about the mods but personally I think you should be allowed to post art made for you so long as the artist is credited/plugged. Good for business for the arists in that case as they might get people asking for another comm from where it's posted. That and I know what it's like, you just get super excited about the art you commissioned and you wanna show people.

thanks, anyways if i can give you one piece of advice. is.
when other artist, say stuff like try this or that.
Or consider this design like that.
there is knowledge to gain from any tattooist. even people you consider bad, etc.
if you always try and to what they say. you will learn something.
you will take something out it.. some you might use later and some not.
you also learn sometimes, what not to do. with the knowledge from others indirectly.
try and practice a detachment from person and ego..
if i knew that earylir. i would have gottten better.

if you want to do traditional, the best way to develop.
is to understand, copying is the base of it.
then when you subconsiously have the style in your brain.
your personal tweak, style. will blossom like a flower.
