Trying to revamp Fallout 4 Pipe weapons. Tried to design something weird i think some methed up raider would come up with, as well as looking like it might have a chance to blow up in your face. Unlike normal pipe weapons that look like they 100% will. Not everything is to proper scale yet. The stock is an example.

Cut down shells to lower the size by a smidge, cord wrapped in the holes to cool down the barrel, stock made from scrap. I like the consept. Still needs some work.

Pipe sniper done, more reenforcement. The Raiders that use this puppy have survived long enough to learn more advanced building techniuqes, but are still limited by resources avaliable. I have an assault rifle and a pistol to design still.

What I would suggest is two things, advoce i was given that helped me. draw how you write, and try to draw lines straight out, without doing the technique you use that adds the messiness. I used to do it too, and still do it in roughs. There is nothing in drawing you don't use in writing as well. If you practice handwriting in the right way, especially the letters C, I, and S, it will much easier practice then just practicing drawing until your hands are bloody.

Doing more of the Sunrider family, so here are the Twins, Oliver in green and Oscar in red. The boys got chores to do on the farm and the milking cows need milking almost daily or they'll sour. They work pretty good together.

Currently in a little bit of a "crisis of process" regarding the koppen climates so I returned to an idea I had; plotted out some island shapes for the mid-oceanic ridge

since it is a fantasy world, I had a cool idea for making sea/high elves the stereotypical sailing culture, similar to the polynesians

I've got some rough sketches for the remaining koppen climate regions but am waiting for Artifexia's video to release in a few days so I refine it/steal his method if I like it more

primarily because I'm not a fan of how my humid subtropics and mediterraneans mapped out to be and I'd like to see how he goes about them

the northern continent was made in my main rectangular map, not in gplates (3d tectonics software, very useful for accounting for polar distortion)

so this island chain is supposed to be the "home" of the elves (In my lore a son of the goddess of elves sailed out for many months and upon reaching a small island he rose up many more for his kind to live on)

In my head they weren't that big and I needed to make them bigger but aftering calculating their area in gplates (on a 3d surface) they have a combined surface area of 4 times the state of hawaii or about the size of portugal(that's pretty cool)

climate for the little island, it's a bit weird because it's pretty high elevation (so it should get colder or so) but since it's a big volcano and magic stuff is going on

I sort of took some freedoms and made the temperature loss not as drastic

it's also interestingly enough, currently my only spot in the world where desert touches ocean as all my other arid spots are in the center of continents

Light green: subtropical monsoon (dry winter, good for farming/crops, think northern india or northern vietnam)
darker green: Yunnan in china, just a colder version of subtropical monsoon
red/pink: hot and cold deserts
light blue: tropical savannah
orange/yellow: hot and cold steppes
grey: tundra

I'm coming to a classic moment in my map making history, the "want to make a new one"

the process is so enjoyable and engaging to me that I keep wanting to make a new one and a new continent

for reference here are some of my previous maps

though to clarify, the 2nd one is not originally by me, it's from an US army codebreaking exercise (Zendia)

the real issue is when it comes to actually incorporating the map with my worldbuilding notes

because they feel like 2 different streams that very rarely line up

when I feel they should be unified, despite my best efforts to do so

nothing just feels like a good/solid fit yet

which is annoying when I sink tens of hours into these

oddly enough I really like the Zendia one but it not being my own creation makes it feel wrong in it's own way

it's largely (if not mostly) ripped off a map of Earth ~230 million years ago but I think it looked sick as fuck so I've been tweaking it, lopping off landmasses/islands and adding some new things

did delete a large chunk of Godwana because it was goofy looking
