How does membership work?
Residents settle and get started. Citizens are full members of Arx, and Praetors are trusted senior members of government. Citizenship is not automatic, but it is designed to be achievable for active Residents. In practice, most people become eligible by settling in well over 7-14 days, completing two verified tasks, or being sponsored by a trusted member. Formal status is handled through Arx's ticket and legal process.

The Technocratic State of Arx - The Westernmost Civilisation
Where are we?
The technocratic state of Arx is located in the jungles and forests of Western Karydia, bordered by Salerno to the south, Infrapontem to the east, and Icarus to the north. Our capital, Phillipi, is located at -9430, 230
What is the system of government?
Arx is a technocracy, meaning that it is governed by a council of experts who hold all executive, legislative, and judicial powers. All members of the council serve permanently, unless removed by a two-thirds majority vote. A new councilmember may be appointed by a majority vote of the council at the end of every two month cycle.
How does citizenship work?
All players that join Arx start out as residents. Residents can hold multiple citizenships and are able to only live part-time in Arx. Once your two month term is up, you are eligible to be promoted to citizen. Citizens are able to vote in public referendums and are able to be chosen to serve on the council. With time you may also be promoted to Praetor by council as a trusted elite in Arx.
What do we offer for new residents?
All new residents are offered an urban plot in Phillipi* (*subject to availability) or a plot of rural land to develop into farms, depending on preference. We have a local metro system to allow you commute from the farmland to the factory district.
