I miss units having own in game stats / xp.

In mowas2 a unit could improve its veterancy and become more effective during a mission. So a recruit with 2 star in a weapon could go up to 3 or 4 whereas elite units would start at 3 or 4 and go up to 5.

I also liked seeing how many vehicles and men they took out.

Another suggestion would be persistent units that stay with you and stay in your army and kept experience and stats.

Also that you could sell units back as in campaign I have tonnes of units that I will not use as they are superseded by better units - ie wildcat - wolverine - slugger.

Another pet peeve is AT rifles and Grenades. They are far too powerful but I get this is a balance / gameplay feature.

However AT rifles are definitely feel overpowered against armour. Although I like that they now auto target field guns etc.

I also believe the veterancy system should return to the game. It was a nice feature to encourage the player to keep the units alive and receive perks by gaining veterancy.

Why did the Germans use armor skirts in the Second World War? And also why were they the only major combatant that used them in large quantity?
