Has anyone else noticed the scroll speed using WASD has decreased and is super slow now? Is this a bug ?

Experiencing this on debian 12 after a long hiatus. WASD is incredibly slow, and only scales with the single setting for screen scrolling that makes mousing over the screen edge go at the speed of light
