Pretty much that. Is this intentional? It is quite annoying when you have your AAs constantly giving out their position by shooting at a random infantry man even if you put them in AA stance. The only way to prevent them from doing so is to micro allowing and disallowing them to shoot at all.

its quite jarring, but the Anti-Air mode will make the gun shoot planes even if set to "dont fire" ROE. If you deactivate the Anti Air mode, it'll behave like any other unit.
According to the tutorial, at least.
