#Missing complete save slot after upgrade to Xbox Series X

I recently got a Xbox Series X and upgraded from my boyfriends old One i was playing on. Yesterday i was really looking forward to play again after long weeks of forced absence in which the game was just unplayable due to the permanent crashes 30 seconds into the game everytime, an all too well known problem i also used to have a few month ago.
Back then i sadly had to start a new save slot and just had to abandon the first one with something around 220 hours of playing time.
The second save slot now also had a little bit more than 80 hours of playing time when the problem occurred.

Btw I'm playing on game pass ultimate.
I copied all of my games on ssd yesterday and with all of my other games there were no problems at all. I then start Techtonica and it really loads quickly but when i check 'load game' to start playing, it only shows two save slots - the first one i played with around 220 hours and a second slot with one slot around 15 Minuten and one with a save game around 30 hours, which Semester to be a war earlier version of the 80 hours save.

But the even bigger mystery here is the size of the game data the ssd shows. Connected with the old Xbox it shows 1.2gb data on ssd and connected with the Series X it only shows 512mb data on ssd.

Maybe somebody here knows a solution regarding this problem.

It seems to be that once the xbox local saves get over a certain amount, perhaps 512MB, then cloud syncing stops working, so Gamepass-PC playing will only show the synced saves from when you last had only a small amount of save data. I have the exact same problem. Gamepass PC only shows one save of mine from last August. Can't get the sync working again until I can reduce the number of save game files ( currently >3.5GB ) on the XBox. When it gets below 512MB again the cloud sync will work, according to a Microsoft tech I spoke to.

Well I read that, but all they mention is the usual advice, They don't say there's going to be some new tool/feaure at their end, or even a larger-saves-mem-allowed...

they had pushed out a firmware update on 1/16

but it looks like it wasn't a fix for everyone

Hey guys, i just wanted to give you a quick heads up and thank you for all of the quick and helpful responses yesterday.
We were able to solve it by first deinstalling Techtonica on the new series x, then switched over to the old xbox and radically reduced the saves by deleting old ones until they took less than 512mb.
After that we just had to copy the reduced game to the ssd one last time, then switch the ssd to the new xbox and copy the game onto it and after a last update it all worked out just perfectly.
It also now looks really great and feels like a whole new playing experience with all the settings not anymore reduced to minimum (just turned vsync off)🤩

Ps: keep up that great work and support guys, really love your game

Sweet, glad it worked for you. However, the "by deleting old ones" part you said above is the killer for me. Takes 10 seconds ( I timed it ) to delete each save file. And there are ~3000 of them. I posted a video on here some time back showing the scale of the problem and how I could be scrolling down through them for ages with the yellow thumb-position bar hardly moving. Ah well. One day....

Yeah, there were quite a few of them, but especially in one save slot i just scrolled down up to the first really old ones and then delegated the monotone process of repeated 'press y-button followed by a-button' to my boyfriend...he has been playing on different consoles for quite some years and was really quick at it (and especially a lot faster than me)...well, and i guess he also wanted to see me happy again (mission definitely accomplished).
