So since I know this server is mostly people who are wizards at scripting but only a few have games that make them a living. I know most of you guys are capable of scripting amazing games but some of you guys may not know how to apply this to making a successful game. In this forum I will give you guys all the information I can find and patterns we can apply to are games to make sure we are seen on the Roblox games page and maybe we can all make a living from are passion of making Roblox games.

(1) Roblox Events

Ok so the first thing I have seen new games do was make events using the new Roblox event feature. I noticed these games will use any excuse they can to make an event because when you click the join event button it makes you join the game. This means your game can have an extra play button, further increasing your chance of getting some players.

(2) Simple Titles

So games that have insanely long titles are very good games but it’s very hard for Roblox or anybody to advertise the game due to marketing a game is harder if your title is over like 8 characters. Please try to make your game have the most straightforward, catchy, title ever. The reason for this is because the shorter the title the higher chance to for one get players interesting and make sure they don’t get distracted by competition. Also you want it to be easy to get search results so if your name is to long your game won’t appear as much in the search bar.

ALSO REMEMBER YOU ARE COMPETING WITH A TON OF GAMES!!!!!!

This means your game has to have a good title, icon, thumbnails, etc BECAUSE most players are not searching for games since they hop on Roblox and want to immediately play there go to game. Make sure your game catches their attention and makes them second guess playing their favorite games to instead try out yours!!

This leads me to also try to have daily rewards, playtime rewards, etc.

These are the 3 most important things Roblox looks for when suggesting your game.

1: Stickiness (how many times they rejoin your game a day, week, and month.)

2: Playtime (How long they play your game)

3: Any from a revenue stat so revenue per player, revenue total per day, week, etc. This doesn’t mean make your game unplayable by making it so pay to win but make sure you are still getting some money.

This is some great advice you should also probably give some marketing advice on how to make your game seen if you have never grown an audience before. There are some good methods mostly being social media posts, some games I know were catapulted in ccu by using tiktok to advertise their games.

Dusty trip, the train game, literally so many more doubtless examples all with 5-60k ccu

and they all look very easy to make so that may be the next big thing

Use TikTok, YT Shorts, and Instagram to promote your game. Study how other people promote their games on those platforms and try to replicate the editing as best you can.

Preferably do this before you release your game. You want to build a community around your game so you can have a playerbase when you launch it. People don't like Joining 0 player games.

Very rarely Roblox will randomly promote games into algorithm but I wouldn't rely on it

I would say Adrenaline is a good game to study. I was seeing test gameplay on discord and youtube. It released and suddenly exploded with everyone covering the game. Even more so when the pf devs got caught.

New games are cool but games that take an existing idea and change them are also cool.

Where you talk about nobody wants to join a game with 0 players this has been a less and less problem as we progress with Roblox.

Now there are two things everybody should know. Multi player games do help your player rate but I wouldn’t make a multiplayer game just for that fact as it’s much harder to promote a multiplayer game like football, basketball, or like arsenal or something like that since without like 20 players it won’t grow at all.

prioritize gameplay even if it means half assing ui. minor stuff like creative ui designs can come later

yeah i dont get why some people flame chatgpt. tbh i find it really helpful for game ideas especially if i have the game genre and rough draft from the back of my head
