#Can't get data store from connected place

I'm using Suphi's DataStore Module for player data in a tower defense game. The data works fine in the main game but when I try and get the data in the play place it returns nil. I used the DataStore Editor plugin to check and made sure that the data existed and yet it still isn't working. Anyone know what the issue is?
