#Scimitars now reach high hypersonic speed

Tested from Ashwood Airbase on Ignus. Used FS-12 with full load, fired immediately after takeoff. I do not recall this change in the patch notes and it doesn't seem intentional given the Scimitar is supposed to have a cruising speed of about Mach 4.

Image 1: missile at half cruise speed before clearing the island. This one might be fine.
Image 2: missile approaching normal cruise speed, Ashwood Auxillary visible. again, this one might be fine.
Image 3: Velocity Mach 5, acceleration slightly increasing, Ignus Minor now visible.
Image 4: Velocity M 6.82, acceleration increasing, approaching Feldspar
Image 5: Velocity M 8.86, acceleration still increasing, passing Feldspar
Image 6: Velocity M 9.76. acceleration 5.5 G, now clear of Feldspar
Image 7: Velocity M 10.44, acceleration has finally reduced, over eastern end of main island. Missile exploded/disintegrated in mid-air not long after this.

Wouldn't the altitude ie thinner air allow for greater top speeds?

air-breathing ramjet is thermodynamically limited to M 8.0. Real ramjets are probably not workable above M 5-6.

Thrust falloff based on exhaust velocity? Like it has full thrust at M1.0 and then falls off linearly to zero at M6.0

Well, it's a ramjet. It should be maxing out thrust at fairly high speeds.

Drag just needs to match max thrust at, say, 5.0 or something. Hypersonic drag is complicated.

this is now fixed and waiting on a patch, scimitars can now only acheive a max speed of around mach 5.
