I have already come across proposals for the introduction of smoke grenade launchers, but as soon as I thought about the proposed concept for even a minute, it lost all meaning. both in terms of gameplay and implementation strategy.
here I want to present my vision of the concept of using smoke grenades on helicopters using the example of the UH-98.

Please forgive me for the poor quality of the visualization and possible translation errors.

for convenience, I will write the concept itself in the comments, so that I can compare text and image.

to begin with, I propose to take the smoke grenade launchers themselves according to the concept of tanks (stationary with a fixed firing sector) and install them as an alternative to the suspended ECM. The main goal will be to cover the turret from ground-based cannon air defenses and IR missiles.

I think it's better to make the body shape similar to the ALM-C450, that is, hexagonal, with protruding or hidden inside guides for smoke grenades. an approximate view. it's very bad, I know, but for the general appearance, let it be

I also think it's important to identify three variations in smoke grenade firing sectors.

The first one is uniform.
With an even hexagonal body, the firing sector allows you to cover the turntable with a smoke screen both during takeoff and landing, as well as when flying at low speed.

Second: descending
the shape with a larger area at the bottom panel makes the range of the grenades smaller and they cover only the lower hemisphere. It is ideal for boarding and attacking convoys.
