I deleted the original because it was a bit incoherent.

The problem
When I select multiple targets, more than my aircraft has designators for, the aircraft still fires as many missiles as there are targets on my target list when you press the trigger, and not as many missiles as there are designators. This doesn't really make much sense but you get used to it. I would prefer if it were changed, or maybe a HUD or gameplay setting to change this behavior to another one.

The Solution(s)
Solution 1: Make it so that when you have more targets than designators selected, your aircraft only fires one missile per painted target per trigger pull. This lets you do the normal thing where you press the trigger how ever many times you want to shoot each target.

Solution 2: leave it alone and we can just call this a skill issue.

Solution 1.1

The laser designators aim at the most likely to hit targets. When you fire, they stay on target until it is hit. This is FUTURISM.

Real reason is that I can target a whole area and fly like a madman and still hit things.

It would make a bit more sense than the seeming random selection of laser targets when I select a whole convoy. But maybe it already does that.

Im actually a huge fan of Solution 1 for that reason.
Be cricket
Select 6 targets
Last 2 are lased
Fire kingpin, 2 dead
(Laser hops from dead targets to next freshest alive target)
Fire kingpin, 2 dead
Fire kingpin, 2 dead

Or, the edge case: one of the 2 MBTs you fired at somehow survived, now you automatically fire at one new one and the survivor
