replacing it with a HUD in the cockpit could be good for cinematics or people more used to it and removing it entirely leaving just instruments would be really nice for cinematic screenshots/videos.
removing the HMD entirely would be a pause menu option, similar to cinematic mode.

I mean I can see like an older aircraft that isn’t meant to see combat or a really cheap plane like the cricket but remember that the games entire UI kinda hinges on some sort of augmented reality.
