If your wing gets shot maybe some of your missiles become duds and stop working and a bullet hits the your rudder it will be stuck in that position type of stuff

This would be sick but I think devs are done with damage as they have already created insane model

Like this if the wing is damaged maybe your aileron stops working or gets stuck

The planes already have their performance damaged when they lose control surfaces.

Losing weapons to damage feel too RNG to sit well with most players. Short of losing a wing with all the weapons on it.

Mitch talked about this and said that the control surface actuators are electric motors. Maybe they are controlled via bluetooth/ redundant wires. So they would be harder to damage than currently existing control surfaces. No hydrolic leaks possible etc.

I like the idea of some bombs or missiles breaking if they get damaged. And it isn't really more RNG than the damage is anyway. Sometimes you can survive one IR missile, sometimes three. Sometimes a bomb survies a close SPAAG impact, sometimes not. It is dependant on minute differences.

Fun fact duds are modelled...kinda

If lets say your wing gets heavily damaged but doesnt come off the missiles will just despawn instead of launching

The game needs to communicate this somehow or else new players would be confused as to why their weapon didnt fire.
