More examples of end tree upgrades could be like giving the Revoker a RAM coating that increases its stealth significantly, a massive fuel efficiency and thrust boost and for the Opal (similar to the fancy new engine that was made for the F-35), the ability for the Ifrit to equip stealth pods that can be equipped to any external stores to decrease their effect on RCS
Etc
permanent, as in between servers?
Yes, to reward playing over a relatively longer period of time
that simply wouldn't work with how multiplayer works
one server will be running an entirely different mission from another
the score you get from one mission may be negligible or substantial in another
most of our current missions are balanced around our current aircraft roster
the skill gap would also be magnified greatly
games would be incredibly unbalanced between those who've played for a long time and casual, short time players
empowering those with many hours and high skill would absolutely have the same effect of punishing newcomers who are overshadowed by upgrades that require dozens of hours of playtime
growth of the game is going to be largely hindered by newcomers being discouraged to buy the game and commit, as they will be forced to sink hours into grinding or be overshadowed by those with free time
one of the biggest prides of NO is the lack of grind. this would entirely ruin that
this ain't war thunder
It isn't a grind it's just something to make your time a bit more worthwhile
Please no, I really wouldn’t want to have to grind anything or be knocked out the sky by somebody who by virtue of playing the game more has a superior airframe
The only reason these game mechanics exist is to keep players hooked with empty dopamine rushes
It is the literal definition of a grind Wym
Remember war thunder?
Good gods no.
Grinding for "better" planes is just a bad idea.
If people want that, they can play WT
