This is a new age, the need for mobile gun systems and light vehicles that can deploy, seek, and destroy, are ever increasing... So here at GWDS (General Weapon and Development Systems) we have proposed a state of the art, 5th gen Light tank design.
Here are some general statistics gathered from the prototype.
Speed: 125 km/h with a Low Friction Gas Turbine (Max speed before damage to the 8×8 wheeled suspension systems.)
Firepower: 120 mm cannon with 850MM RHA penetration and a 12.7 mm roof mounted machine gun.
Dual revolver autoloader: Max reload speed was determined to be 3-4 seconds; Maximum round capacity is 40
Armor: The Predator has integral all-around armor protection against 30 mm AP rounds using a brand new steel alloy; further data is classified for the time being.
Modern Defense Systems: The predator is equipped with an Improved Hard-Kill System, capable of intercepting incoming AGM-48's and similar munitions for a short time, as well as ground based projectiles. (Struggles with intercepting 3+ munitions at a time)
(Due to weight limitations, the vehicle could not be equipped with an ERA package, but is fully capable of supporting it with further chassis development.)
Cost: Each unit costs approximately $5.75m to produce and deploy.
Weight: The vehicle weighs approximately 20 tons.
Due to it's low profile and wheeled nature, this vehicle can be difficult to hit, greatly improving it's survivability! Further development will follow.
