#SAH-46 airframe loss due to pilot's head breaking rotor

Noticed that sometimes too, tho its really quite unpredictable when its gonna happen
but for me it didnt damage Chicane enough to consider it a lost
i still get the airframe back but visually it gets completely obliterated by the pilot spawning inside it
the easiest solution would be to disable collisions on pilots, because no one's going to normally collide with them anyway
I remember someone rammed pilot while he was parachuting lol
Solution - reinforce the Chicane rotor so that the pilots head gets cut off instead of the rotor crumpling
Of course, the one feature this game lacked: gore.
It could happen easily if you get out of a crashing and flopping Chicane. And seeing the pilots closely miss the blades is a lot of fun I think.
It happens almost always when you get out of a ditched Chicane in my experience, since the pilots float but the Chicane sinks.
Yeah, not in my experience. I've had it happen on flat ground with no damage several times.
I now have video footage of this happening in a straight and level landing with no damage, resulting in the loss of the vehicle. For the doubters @subtle bramble
SAH-46 airframe loss due to pilot's head breaking rotor
For context, the game doesn't consider it a loss of the airframe due to the rotor breaking
The game considers it a loss of the airframe because the vehicle is moving a considerable amount when it checks to see if it's recoverable (it needs to be under like, 5kph)
So if you want to guarantee recovery, let the engine spool down a significant amount
In the example video I was stopped until the rotor started throwing the aircraft around which could have triggered the loss.
Yeah, but people here are saying the rotor breaking is directly responsible for the game considering it an airframe loss
Which, it doesn't, it just cares about the vehicle being stationary and the player being alive
That makes sense. Still, it takes like 45 seconds to spool down. That can be slow
Yeah, I've snapped an Ifrit in half before and the game didn't complain and I got the airframe back
