#Ship oil fires spread to the water

As a ship sinks, it spills oil/fuel into the water, which fortuinately is modeled already. Why not expand on this idea and allow the oil/fuel to be set alight when a fire occurs? This happens relatively often when it comes to warships, so why not?

this happens often with crude but bunker fuel and standard fuel oil is very hard to ignite unless under immense pressure and generally will not burn on its own. you can toss a lit match into a fuel tank and it won't burn. Source: I work on an oceangoing vessel with diesel engines
