But yeah it could be a jamming pod by the nose or something. Would be cool

I know its the Sniper pod. Saw a bomber, saw an external pod on it, thought "DR with that wouldnt be too unrealistic". DR needs some sort of buff anyway since its big and fairly slow (at least compared to other planes).
