just make them all smart bombs with a shaped charge. You get a few dozen of them to drop and they can be targeted at individual vehicles.

If you target a ship they go for it's weapons automatically

I just really like submunition dispenser pods, and they could be useful if the guidance is small enough. although for the "late cold war" tech level we have, probably not. otherwise its just neat to deploy mines to slow convoys and cluster bomb bases to try to sneak though AD

my proposal is maybe instead of launching 100s of individual mines, send out 10 mines but give each a model of dozens of mines, while having a larger hitbox to represent that

have it deploy these instead and they can act as single use anti armor turrets

BUT make it so if some one is looking for them a dumb bomb or some thing can be used to disable or destroy them

I'd would also add a min drop altitude and arming time so they are extremely hard to deploy over hostile territory in order to prevent them from over taking the role of atgm's

it should lower the lag that the clusters would cause and make having awacs and recon way more important

I think min height would be better than max height for drop limits, so you cant just be a mega gremlin and so they can like parachute deploy or something
Also makes features like wind more annoying lol

just make a dispenser for those cluster bomb skeet things but it drops them one at a time or in bursts of three or something. You could dive armored vehicles with it and be able to destroy a significant amount of them compared to using bombs since they take up much less space.
