it will have some performance impact since it has to hog a little bit of the main game thread, but shouldnt be excessive

i have a 13650hx and can play escalation at 60fps while recording
Should be good enough, just tried a restart to see if that helps

i use rivatuner statistic server's fps limiter functionality atm
its the benchmark logging software that comes with msi afterburner
but it can be also installed separately
Limited NO to 75fps with nvidia control panel, will tell you if it goes well

This is a fantastic idea! Thank you so much for making it! Half the damn problem with learning NO is not having any clue what happened (just like DCS and BMS!) and this will be a huge help.
Question: when I use EnableHeightmapGenerator = true and hit the button, where does it put the generated heightmap? I'm assuming it's saved it somewhere, so that I can drop the resulting file into Tacview so that it has accurate terrain?
Update: been having a blast with tacview so far, definitely going to try and make some YouTube videos using it (with permission of course)

it saved in the plugin's folder, but note this is a dev feature that we use to generate terrain files when new maps are added to the game. so you dont really need to use it ( unless you somehow figured out how to mod new terrain into the game and want to make a tacview terrain file for it)
also the heightmap generator algo causes a memory leak so be careful š«
tacview 1.9.5 comes with terrain and models for nuclear option

Whoa! I didn't read https://github.com/KopterBuzz/NOBlackBox/blob/main/INSTALL.md#the-tacview-assets too closely, and just installed the assets anyway. Nice!
I only wish I'd known about the mod sooner. As it happens, I have all my DCS and BMS flight time (apart from training) recorded to tacview, since I knew about it before I started using those. It would have been nice to complete the unbroken record with Nuclear Option. Oh well š
the assets Tacview 1.9.5 come with are from 0.31 so it doesnt have brawler and the new vehicles etc
also it has a bladeless ibis
so its beneficial to install the assets manually anyway
Iāve noticed that I canāt really control what TacView captures. For example, during a 1 hour mission, itāll capture 2 different 15 minute segments. Any way to fix this?
it should record from when you join a game til when the mission ends and then start recording again when the nextission starts, or if you restart the mission
can you send player.log for when next timevit happens
maybe there is a bug or error

I FIGURED IT OUT
It seems that whenever I trigger my medal to capture gameplay, it disables the TacView capture
So the end of both captures are synced, but TacView doesn't capture past
idk what you mean by this but whatever this "medal" is, does it activate with F8?
noblackbox has a hotkey to toggle recording on off, its f8 by default
So itāll probably be fine if I re-bind medalās clip hotkey
I'm having an issue with the "AutoStartRecording" config option, changing it to false has no apparent effect as the recording icon is visible on mission start and a recording is saved to the default location.

Hey man, this may have the potential to be HUGE. Just one, teeny tiny question: Is this mod compatible with Reshade?
it probably is
i don't think reshade interacts with games directly
noblackbox doesnt do anything with graphics, so as long as bepinex and reshade can work with eachother, this mod should be able to load i guess
