An option in the graphics to reduce the smoke effect or make it less GPU demanding by for example reducing the height or making it less animated
Same goes for the clouds and veicules
An option making them less details (I'm talking about ai ground forces and sfx, planes can stay at full details) just so our PC's doesn't blow up when passing throught a no man's land full of snoke

I know I just want a way to make my friends with lower end pc's able to play without problems

Vehicles/Aircraft/Buildings already have LODs applied (and far enough away, aren't drawn at all) but the effects are still WIP. Recently with the larger mushroom clouds they became mesh based to reduce overdraw, and more improvements will follow, like general reductions in particle density.
Yea was thinking of something like nuke clouds becoming 2d low res mesh when far away cause those are the thing that destroys the fps
Also would like to lower the opacity of friendly units cause they clutter the screen
the nuke clouds never caused any performance issues for me, the worst performance loss happens when drawing a lot of smoke or calculating a lot of aircraft parts' collisions
Yea so anything related to smoke could have a low poly mode so performance are less affected
low poly mode? sprites have no polygons, just lower the amount of smoke sprites
