#Mine Bombs

could work with the upcoming ccip, but since current bombs already oneshot vehicles and are optically guided, i'm not sure the utility
unless there's more to the idea, feels like the same result with extra steps
i dunno maybe some vehicles more vulnerable to mines than guns and missiles
it'd almost have to be something like that
thats not how mines or missiles work
maybe u can use it like early if theres some convoy approaching
i think its a good idea considering vehicles tend to move along predictable pathways that woudl be great to mine
sometimes you get to a spot where u KNOW vehicles pass through but there isnt any at the time u get there - mines are perfect payload for that
I do like the idea, and they're is a historical basis for the munition (air scatarable at mines do exist). My conference come from gameplay. Is there are air deployable mines, wouldn't mine clearing methods (vehicle or munitions) be needed to for gameplay balance? Either way this could clog up the gameplay and show down online games
Pretty complex idea, but how about mines are avoided by vehicles that spot them, preventing entire convoys from dying to one mined road.
2 ways of doing this, if a vehicle dies to mines then the rest of the convoy will avoid that spot, or/and only some vehicles will be able to spot mines before another vehicle hits them, like a tank likely can’t spot mines but a recon vehicle probably could, in a small radius (~50m).
Additionally we could add a mine clearing vehicle that could spot mines and clear them from roads to prevent roads from being essentially blocked until x number of vehicles die there could be added.
This mine clearing vehicle likely won’t be using explosive charges on things other than roads, as those are quite limited in capacity, but if we had a mine clearing plow or flails for non road conditions that could work.
Overall it would require a ground A.I. rework and more variations in convoy composition to avoid mines
the best way to do mine clearing is the MICLIChttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M58_MICLIC
The M58 Mine Clearing Line Charge (MICLIC) is a rocket-projected mine-clearing line charge used to provide a "close-in" demining capability for maneuver forces of the United States Army and Marine Corps. First entering service with United States Army Europe and Africa in 1988, it is effective against conventionally fuzed land mines and, when det...
