This is something I've been working on for a couple of months now to teach myself LUA code. The idea behind it was to add a whole variety of food that is identical in style and use to vanilla food around what was popular in America, in the 90's.
I've got it down to a few categories:
- canned foods such as meats, vegetables, fruits, soup, stew and bait
- sauces, relishes and salad dressing
- herbs, spices and seasonings that can be added to any recipe
- a huge variety of pantry (shelf-stable) snacks and foods
- desserts such as cake mixes and jelly
- drinks, packs of water, alcohol, shelf stable milk
- fresh fruit and vegetables
- fridge and freezer food
- new recipes and evolved recipes
I'm aiming to keep vanilla spawn rates as close as possible, just going through the testing phase at the moment. The idea is to have a variety with the same spawn numbers.
Tooltips are written for anything that requires additional ingredients to make.
Why am I making this? Partly because I hate myself (kidding), because mods out there haven't quite scratched that itch I'm after for a stupid amount of food - so I'm doing it myself.
Suggestions, comments, feedback all welcome.

roughly 75% of the item and recipe code was done for 41 and now we're underway converting it over. I have some really awesome people helping me out with the models, static models and textures already but still looking for collaborators or testers (a little later down the track).
slowly chipping away at everything, it's a big project after all ~ cans and jars are totally done, fruits and vegetables are nearly done, working through the seasonings and sauces, and finally starting on pantry item code. It's really cool to see it all coming together

code is totally done for the pantry category, just catching up on models now
