Who are you looking to play?
I really dont know I like half the characters I usually pick a main off looks so I would need some help knowing which people are good then I would pick from there
Everyone in the game rn is good to some degree
Don't worry about whether they're good or not, and like Catch said, pretty much everyone is good in some way. Just focus on who you like and if you enjoy their gameplay.
the cercles mean I like then and the ? mean they are also kinda in my mind
Im just really indecisive cause I dont play video games that much anymore but I still want to play then its just there aren't any actually fun games to me anymore but this looks like a really good game with a great community and im hopping to get REALLY good at the game.
Honestly a tier list for this game isn't going to matter until really high levels of play, and it's far better to invest your time into a character you really like than to play one you don't as much but is better meta-wise.
do you have any recommendations when it comes to the pic i sent?
cause like I said I go for looks in a character but I also want to be able to be good with in the future and right now as a complete noob
Tbh, I dont think the idea of "beginner character" is one worth worrying about
I learned this game on Zato-1.
You'll be fine.
Only ones I'd warn about are Jack-O', Chaos, and Asuka, as they're pretty difficult to learn at first
But like, again, if you like them, and you like how they play, then fuck it. Stick with them.
I would honestly disagree with jacko, I think shes perfectly fine to start with
Chaos and Asuka though are significantly more complicated than everyone else
I was looking through the characters again I think I like A.B.A
Also bonus for you, she's pretty good
Solid high tier
Also is there anywhere I could go to hire a coach and they could hop on call and help me through the start of my grind?
Youre in the right place. I'm pretty busy but I'm sure someone could help
oh ok great is there any charges or is it free?
It's free
For specifically ABA we got just the guy for you
oh ok awesome also sorry if im yapping a lot im just rlly clueless at new games
@silent crown yo brudda
Hey
Just get with doc when he can and he'll be happy to help out
hay @silent crown I was wondering if you could coach me with A.B.A some time I just got the game and have no clue what im doing it would be awesome if you could help me out sometime tomorrow if your free.
Sure I can.
I got like a year and some change playing the character
tysm is there a time you are open tomorrow and how should I contact you
I mean just shoot me an @ when you’re free and we can plan it
Or see if we can’t just start at the moment
But quick thing, I’d highly recommend you do the tutorials in this game and learn about how the system works
alr I cant play now but I will @ you maybe tomorrow and ill make sure to do the tutorial first and again tysm for all the help
No prob
@silent crown Im doing some training rn with aba but idk how to play her at all and cant find anything to help cause i m using an xbox controller
Ok no problem
Also the controller doesn’t matter
Just play with what you’re comfortable with
yea ik i just cant find a tutorial on aba where there using my controller which makes it hard for me to learn the moves
Fundamentally tho big thing about fighting games is that you gotta learn about numpad notation
It’s a little unusual when we’re talking about what it is casually but it’s super important help you shorthand inputs in the game and in general as you go
yea sense im used to super smash this is all new to me
ok well thanks im get back to the missions
No hold on I can assist w that
yes?
wow thats REALLY helpful tysm
Also, in Guilty gear, the name of normals are Punch, Kick, Slash, Heavy Slash, Dust.
yea i fugured that out
So when someone does a crouching slash move, we shorthand it to 2S
And that’s the idea for all of them. Directional input plus the button attached to it
Plus in game you can change how the inputs are displayed in the training mode
also should i be using d pad or joystick?
That’s totally preference based
ok ty
