That's normal, cameras tend to screw with things, but it looks great nonetheless, what gave you the idea for that bolt rifle coloration?

Also, this is just spitballing and it'd probably be a pain in the ass, but have you considered adding oxidization to the trim and power pack?

I looked at my paint and was like "i dont know how to do metal silver rust" so i took some canoptek alloy to make the silver part and some very diluted black ( i forgot the name of the paint and i cant find it ) to make the rust

Thin it until the pain is practically water, make sure there's barely any on the brush you're using and then run it along the trim and such

brutal kunnin, warboss, da big dakka. trilogy of books following a war band of orks. just good fun and amusing books. the last one is more of a drukari book since they are the enemy

fabius bile trilogy is also really good.

assassinorum kingmaker, picture a low fantasy story with knights and houses where a team is plotting to kill a king. now put the knights inside of titans and you have this book

the infinite and the divine is such a good necron book. its like a cat and mouse adventure book that spans over thousands of years

flesh and steel, i liked this one its a detective book between a normal human and an ad mech side kick. if you ever wanna see how mess up the imperium of man is this is a good book for it.

day of ascension, its told from 2 perspective. one is the admech on i think a forge world and the other side is told by the perspective of genestealer cults. short book but was the first 40k book i consumed. really enjoyed it

there was a technique ive been meaning to try as a tip i read when you need lines. you paint one panel one colour then tape over it with masking tape, paint everything again with the bottom colour. that should act as a protective layer so paint doesnt bleed into the tape or under it. then you paint whats not taped with another colour

and the line 'should' be clean

the problem isnt that they dont fit

its that for the model to not have any lines of emptyness where the pieces didnt perfecly matched, you have to rlly press the two pieces one against the other rlly hard since the size of the hole is just the size of the stick

and since you have to press hard, it makes so every little spike or thing rlly dig in you

for me i didnt go all the way, it isnt that noticable but there are some parts where you can see the two parts arent at 100% one against the other

it just registered how cheap in points knights are. 10 of my aberants is 300 points, a knight is like 350-450. i thought they were an elite "affordable" army

It's really only not great in comparison to the original, which was spectacular
