From memory SFO was always designed better while in Radious some changes were like for sale of changes

Radious adds millions of units but then everything plays the same

But I'm talking about general experiences with them, haven't touched either in WH3

that would make sense;

my experience with Radious has been positive but it's relatively tame overall

they add something like 500+ units and I feel like they do a good job of making it so you have good reasons not to just doomstack one or two units that outclass the rest of your roster - the effects, debuffs etc. various new units have make them far more effective in mixed armies than uniform ones

and they add 'bad' options to factions that previously had no option - middling ranged units for vampire counts, for instance

they seem to have fixed the AI's army composition planning, and they juiced the hell out of garrisons across the board

they also altered how Control works so that the higher your Control, the easier it is to maintain that (whereas in vanilla the lower it is the easier it is to not hit 0, Radious demands you actually engage with that system and rewards you for doing so)

and buffed a lot of things that sucked, expanded how much each LL brings to the table to differentiate themselves

Radious feels very much like it's "We're aiming to take the vanilla game and not rock the boat but add to and refine the base experience"

from what I've been able to tell, SFO is a far more radical approach that's focused around like, let's just go ham making every faction WAY more unique

also winner of the roll for a turn gets to pick if they go first or second. i thought when i played winner has to go first

but i could be wrong in that

going back to the AoS stuff. games fun if you ever played total war warhammer they do a good job of making the table top feel like that. the models are also better quality than 40k. doesnt have its issues though. three quarters of the armies are super limited range, there is rumours they are going to make all dwarfs one book, and the rules in this edition arent great. skaven for example the meta army is i think 160 or 180 clan rats and like 12 or 18 storm vermin

not a fun list to run or play against

also destruction armies have been a mess for a while. its like they dont know how to write rules for them and be on theme

i think the model is sick is 1. the other things is he like a mob boss. hes, as far as i know, the only chaos that give it to you straight, doesnt trick anything or anyone and follows the contracts he makes to the tee. theres also no trickery in the contracts its you do this i get this, if you fail then i get this. also him being stronger than demon princes but weaker than full gods, i think hes considered demi god, but the fact that the chaos gods cant actually move against him because hes in charge of the soul forge and if a god tried to kill him but fails that god would lose all access to daemon engines

Paladin Paragon

First time I tried putting it together I chose the wrong arm so I had to detach the hand before the glue fully set and paint up a new one

peoples advice for speeding up the process of painting is painting 5-10 models at once (of the same unit). i think my limit on some of these models are 3. been trying to do 5 and i get so sloppy by the 4th and 5th one. or maybe its cuz its 4 arms 2 legs and a head. if it was only 2 arms each prob would be better
