Welcome to NRS games lol. Yes you're +19 but you staggered the opponent with lao's hat because it ends any combo string unless the enemy is airborne

And when a combo string ends, it doesn't matter if you're plus 19 or plus 112 (which is achievable believe it or not) you can hold crouch block or normal block. Which is why I throw a lot lol

@kindred osprey you played pretty well overall and I like that you’re ending your combos in forward 4 for oki. This sets up the 50/50 with the overhead that breaks armor. Reiko is really strong with good zoning, good buttons, and great mix with the overhead and the cmd grab. With the scorpion kameo, you need to be extra patient cause Reiko has all the advantages in neutral. I think two things that you need to work on are neutral ducking projectiles in general to stop chip damage and micro dash forward punishes. He was pressing the shit out of his low poke or sweep and you can key in on that and whiff punish with a quick micro dash f1 string. I’d lab that by blocking the first one and then whiff punishing the second one. You wanna work on this cause that shit is annoying af and other people are gonna try similar stuff with low pokes. Also at 2:13ish you missed a punish where you needed to dash 1-2 to punish the slide. At 3:24, you need to protect your life lead instead of taking risks with the teleport. Ended up losing the game cause of that and a ball roll. You had this set in your hand but gambled it.
