The only problem with this is it’s 3 bars of meter and Johnny is already meter intensive. You don’t usually wanna use amplified nut punch cause it costs two bars of meter. Combos like this were common in the beta because it was before the nut punch nerf

In the beta you never used rising star except on a block string because of how much better nut punch was

Well Kenshi was also stronger, Sub Zero was really strong, Liu Kang did more damage, Li Mei also had way bigger lantern loops also and they nerfed that after the beta. So he was in good company but that specific move was fucking stupid and doesn’t need to be invul. It should just be a good combo route because the move is iconic. Im all for taking away the invul

Li Mei could hit 7 lanterns in a combo and it was the most fun I’ve ever had doing a combo and NRS said nope you can’t have that asshole

It wasn’t even doing Baraka Cyrax damage or Raiden damage

If Ashrah wants to harass with her F2, Mileena shuts that down. Wants to use her plus on block projectile? Nope.

She does have a goated armor move because privilege but Mileena can go the distance with any character in the game easily

and scorp has one of the shittiest mids people think is good because its f12 which is the standard but it cant be hitconfirmed, followup is high, both parts are minus, only the first hit can be special cancelled without the dial in shit

Scorp does have strong shit like all his combos being very rewarding and any stray hit can easily be 30+ meterless and kameoless but getting the hit is a lot harder when people know ur framedata or that all ur moves are highs

KOF, SF players struggle mightily with NRS games because the game play isn't anywhere close to those styles.

In NRS games...

1. You launch your opponent and can literally do any move and it'll juggle.
2. Every normal move is special cancelled.

These are the two biggest ones imo
3. You can't mash light punch and crouch pokes into a full combo

4. Recovery frames actually exist. You can't spam Mileena ball like you can Blanka ball

5. there's no attacker pushback on block.

6.Round starting position doesn't reset each round

7. MK specific but side switching mixups don't exist. The mixup is High, Mid, Low or Overhead.

Like when I started Strive the thought of full combos off of a crouch d1 was alien and asinine to me. Oliver would D1 me into a May Totsugeki combo and I'd look dumbfounded

Spamming pokes nonstop and no recovery frames on moves took me 200 hours in Strive to get used to

It clicked for me when I realized MK is not a game where I should be blocking 100% of the time

In SF, I hold back or down back even when jumping, so I can block as soon as I get to the ground if I whiff
On wake up, during pokes and even before the last hit of my combo hits
You need to be ready to block 100% of the time

While in MK, I feel like blocking SO MUCH fucks me up
When I started backdashing after some specific pokes or strings, I was able to whiff punish SO MUCH BETTER
Ducking too
If you get close to your opponent and just hold down in SF, you're DEAD
In MK, I get LOTS of people to whiff grabs or highs, that I can punish heavily depending on it
Even when you're getting grabbed, in SF you can be holding back or down back while mashing grab to escape
In MK, you need to let go of block and mash 1 or 3

So yeah, I feel like the click with MK came when I noticed blocking isn't the answer to all my problems in neutral
And when I noticed jumping isn't nearly as good as in SF

Sareena let’s you end your combos in a restand up in their face where you will be +12 or +18 depending on which ender you choose. If they guess wrong then the total damage will be 50-76%. The match can snowball in your favor and she’s the easiest to play imo.

Getting used to her combo

Sub lets you dominate neutral and gives projectile invul. His combo extension scales heavily so you have to start combo with scream first so you won’t get the restand. He works well with Sindel because she has a move that increases kameo regeneration so after the combo you will have kameo meter regenerated

And Lao provides some nutty ass setups with hat and levitate

If you did that same combo but didn’t end in fatal blow, you are plus 12 in their face in the corner. If you end in 11 you’re plus 18. I came up with these two combos cause they pretty much incorporate all of the aspects of the bnb’s. If you can do these then you can do basically all of her combos

I played a guy in kasuals yesterday and made him rage cause I did this same fatal blow combo but only with one EX hair flip

@kindred osprey but yes Ashrah is easier, more brain dead, and stronger. Incredibly strong. Someone with good neutral will dominate with her but Sindel is just really satisfying and fun

The amp hair ball into levitate is the hardest part for most people but I knew you’d get that part with your skill

Back 2 is the only thing she can cancel into float for pressure. And you need to do that with Sindy. It needs to be air tight on block so you don’t get combo’d but you also need to be able to hit confirm it.
