Alright imma say it. Unironcially this duplication glitch actually makes the game better. Like it legit completely negates having to grind to find certain materials which encourages you to use your stuff, and also since the whole fuse mechanic is a thing I’ve made some really cool combos I wouldn’t have otherwise

Big empty open world, runs poorly on the switch, end boss was an absolute let down, divine beasts were shit, enemy variaty was like 2, bosses were all the same, shrines got boring quickly, cooking was a chore, and weapon durability is trash

And that's just the things I thought of in 5 seconds just waking up

Only upside with regards to the divine beasts was that the bosses were more difficult compared to how piss easy the totk bosses have been, but the botw bosses weren't even harder for good reasons. They were only harder due to the jankiness of the sheikah slate (which I think was incredibly bad for combat due to how slow it generally was) which made all the fights very dull imo

Expanding more on the empty world part: there was literally nothing to do anywhere but the 4 main areas. Hateno village had the singular deal with the house, Tarrey town was fun but an incredibly long fetch quest, and I can't even remember anything else from the game that was notable.

I've played oot exactly once (still haven't beaten the final boss) but I have more memories of that experience than anything in botw, and I played oot upwards of 7 years ago

Survivor Island, maze, lost woods, dragon shrine were the only standouts for me in botw

The reward for doing them all didnt seem worth at all

I very much disliked all of the divine beasts. They all felt janky, the whole deal with moving parts of the dungeon was cool in concept but poorly executed, all of them were still short, and all of them being the exact same was a massive let down for me

This is coming from me though, as a self professed twilight princess fanboy, which apparently has goat dungeons

I remember them being cool, the idea of a giant mecha robot puzzle is an awesome idea

My problem with divine beasts is they were as empty as the world outside and once you figure out how one works they are become easier cuz you know what you are looking for. The first one took me like an hour and a half to do. The last one took me 15 minutes

||if it makes a giant platform in the sky and shoots blocks down, i've found that you can use rewind on them and climb on||

||it brings you straight to the block||

||and if it turns into a cube, itll most likely attack the sages you have||

||so wait for it to show the face with the block, and ultrahand it||

||you can usually kill it pretty fast, even with weaker weapons||
