Cause like the biggest problem with the mode is you have no reason to keep playing it really, once you get all the arcanes and stuff you basically just use it as a vosfor farm or whatever, which can be done elsewhere more efficiently (namely steel path fissure getting you steel essence, sp arcanes/vosfor via acolytes, and depending on what type of fissure, you can even farm some third thing, like conjunction survival for voruna stuff)
It's why void cascade is so popular as a mode, it's insanely time efficient
I think one of the best things they could do is add some item that you get from doing endgame activities that lets you pop relics instantly
Timewise you aren't actually really going faster but it gives you a reason to engage with modes you may have outgrown while also not invalidating the normal relic method (because quad stacking is always better for rewards)

Mainly picking up the runes of unlimited fire rate and heat damage, and "kill this asshole for a grab bag goodie bag of orbs"
Also shooting chained enemies but odds are you're naturally gonna do that
The runes mainly fill the gauge alot
And the runes spawn pretty fast so if you grab em as soon as they spawn you get a lotta extra uptime
