-gave you an alternative to running adaptation
Even ideally that's three SUPER expensive mods to run

shield tanking either uses primed redirection/catalyzing shields/arcane expertise (ALSO NOT A MOD, THAT ALSO SCALES OFF STRENGTH, WHICH A LOT OF FRAMES WANT AS IS) plus either passive Regen mods or on cast Regen mods.
You have so much more flexibility in shield tanks

The opportunity cost of persistence is if you already have shields you give up shield gating (very consistent way to live) for a potentially very energy efficient and aggressive playstyle via rage /heal based abilities that requires you to be incredibly active to maintain it
The problem being that the nerfs hamper that second playstyle way more than it really should and makes it not worth the risk
If say, I got shields back for the brief instance where the arcane gets shut off, all of the sudden I have my shield gate back to react to whatever bullshit negated me
Course it's not going to be a good shield gate cause I probably have zero shield investment, but it's something
And it would in a super roundabout way it would still fix the alleged AFK problem we had with the arcane

Because xatas whisper ins and of itself is treated like a toxic lash sort of buff
Meaning the void buff doesn't interact with your weapons modding at all, rather it applies a second hit based on the scaling of the first hit with pure void damage
Blast likes this because blast is based on base damage alot
This lets you hit someone twice
This leads to a snowball effect
It's kind of the reason why chroma also really like blast because he can get a ungodly amount of base dmg via vex armor
Sayrn, oraxia, and a couple other frames can abuse that sort of thing
It's also why DE doesn't like you stacking damage buffs via helminth, so if chroma tries to get xatas whisper he has to dump vex
