Ampho had a great premise and let me experience the most emotionally impacting chara with one of the best trailers (Phainon).
But Ampho was still weak in terms of connecting with the cast other than Phainon and Cyrene.
We spent so much time in the world but I personally didn't feel that connected or invested outside of saving it b/c of a morality perspective

For me it comes down to the fact that:
- Amphoreus sacrifices all lot of the character's development late in the story just to turn them into philosophical conversation bots, making a lot of the former story feel less meaningful and causing the later story come off as kinda pretentious
- As a whole, Amphoreus doesn't really feel like it fits in HSR. Compared to all the other stories, Amphoreus feels like it's own self-contained thing that's weirdly detached from the whole thing which makes me less invested.

I gotta disagree a bit with that second point, initially, yes Amphoreus is very much disconnected from the rest of the universe and pre-established lore but in the latter half of 3.X story, whenever the focus shifts to Irontomb, it does reconnect itself with the pre-established lore and adds onto it as well as being used a sort of side plot line to the current stuff in 4.X
HSR does it's story over many patches and it does slow parts down, especially when played on patch release, gotta wait 6 weeks for the plot to continue to develop. Although I do prefer that to WuWa or ZZZ 2.X story patches since those felt very disconnected from each other beyond some overarching points and some exceptions.

I mean, kinda, yeah? The problem with that though is that Irontomb's existence doesn't have any clear, meaningful consequences until the last few moments of the story. You can say that it will "destroy the universe" as much as you want, but that means nothing until you show it actually doing that in some way (eg. Having it manifest partially earlier in the story, having clear, severe consequenses on Amphoreus' environment). As a result, Irontomb's relevancy to the wider plotline is something that isn't apparent until the literal last moments of the story. Until then, it feels very self-contained and disconnected to me.
I guess the best way to put it is that the story would've benefited a lot more from some more "show don't tell"

a lot of the resentment i see for her (and feel myself) is because of how much she subverted expectations for the end of amphoreus and stole the show

The reason they added fox teacher into Evanescia's kit is so that when she regens a ton of energy after an aha instant, it freezes av for a second and gives her a chance to press ult
Otherwise you have to be frame perfect and hit the ult before av advances
also e0s1 eva ult now does 2m on single target
so she got buffed a LOT
