Pulling for support eidolons/lightcones is the best choice you can make on reruns, followed by dps eidolons (which vary a lot in usefullness), followed by e0 supports and finally e0 dps

E0 dps is the worst investment you can make on a rerun because the dps will likely not be shilled anymore, and e0 performance will be inefficient/"wasted" if you think about it in terms of strength. Far better to just invest in the new dps e0

I am posting two tier lists rn

#

The first is how I rank all the Amphoreus patches

#

3.0 - Nikador was absolute cinema, did a great job world building. My favorite patch out of all of them
3.1 - Mydei aura farming was hype, felt like nothing else happened really? Was still decent
3.2 - Did not really feel any urgency, politics felt messy and motivationally weak
3.3 - Aquila and the entire sky map was pretty lit. I think the song is good, don't glaze it as much as the whole community seems to but there was some immaculate story writing here.
3.4 - Mostly Phainon aura farming, was fun and built the story. Could probably be a B tier too though
3.5 - Huh? This was a patch? What happened again?
3.6 - Evernight's motivations were kind of all over the place and didn't make the most sense to me at all times. Dante was the only part of it that I really enjoyed, everything else just kind of felt cobbled together rather than a cohesive story.
3.7 - Just kind of a let down conclusion to the story. I think I enjoyed Penacony's ending significantly more despite Penacony's far greater issues with the story.

Next one is my tier list on how well I think each character's individual story was told

Aglaea - Don't read my name, but I do think she was really well done. She got only a bit of focus in 3.0 during her release, but I actually am very glad that they did that since it let her have a more constant and natural story presence in the next 3 patches after. Her character arc was good and her motivations remained pretty consistent. The only thing I would say they could've done better is make her a bit more brutal in her Machiavellism for the flame chase, but the way they did it was still good.

Mydei - Had a good character arc, some of the king stuff they did towards the end of his patch felt a bit silly but overall was super solid and remained a fun character with surprising depth for being the "strong" guy.

Dante - His development in 3.6 felt somewhat short, but is a really neat expansion to the Dan Heng character. Wish they'd expanded more on him waiting but since 3.6 was not the finest patch overall I'll take it.

Anaxa - Aura farming professor aura farmed. Dromas obsession is funny and I think he got some really good development in 3.2. Gave a lot of insight into his character and wants, and he remained a pretty strong presence at the end of the story.

Cipher - Hero of the flame chase, had an amazing story presence thanks to the fantastic va, huge twist, and her sacrifice. Aglaea + Cipher story tension was fairly palpable and, regardless of your interpretation of their relationship, was well done.

Phainon - Was really solid up to 3.6/3.7 where I feel like they kind of dropped the ball and forgot what they were writing for him? I can't go into it too much without spoilers so I won't but really felt as though they had one idea in mind for him up to 3.5, then hastily pivoted and lost a lot of what they had set up.

Hyacine - Fun character, had a lot of potential in 3.3 but I just didn't feel any of the tension between Hyacine and Aquila directly. If they'd included some scenes of Hyacine getting split off from the group and having to confront Aquila/Seliose by herself I think it would've done a lot more for her character as a dynamic of a small healer girl having to confront literal lovecraftian horror beast

Tribbie - Was there, had a lot of emotion when she went to tomorrowland, but ultimately didn't have a lot of development. I expected some conflict resolution with her being turned into a kid and the issue of an adult being trapped in an immature mind, but they never really touched on it directly.

Castorice - For an anniversary character I expected there to be a lot more of the patch dedicated towards her. Was some solid development around her conflict of not being able to ever touch another person, but felt like surface level exploration of her character. Grateful that the devs gave her real development as opposed to leaving her as a classic waifubait, which I fully expected at the time of her release.

Cyrene - Same as Phainon, felt like they set something up and then suddenly changed it midway through the story. Character was confusing and honestly the over the top flowery language was another big detractor for her development. 3.7 wins the award for most uselessly complex storytelling

Evernight - Said this above, but her motivations just felt all over the place. "Protect March", okay maybe let her friends see her? Never felt like she was behaving rationally, and then she didn't even end up being the boss of the patch. Instead we got fuckass mustache memosprite

Hysilens - This patch was all over the place. Basically threw Hysilens backstory at player and then left.

Cerydra - Same as Hysilens, was incredibly dry and no real development at all. Doesn't help that both of them basically fucked off right after this patch either.
