Imo Anaxa is the far better investment overall. He's a really strong hypercarry and a good amplifier for Erudition teams. Fugue is good but tbh Himeko is not going to be insane with either him or Fugue

Anaxa will be the damage dealer if he's paired with Himeko (as far as I'm aware anyways), and Fugue will help Himeko but not enough to justify getting her I feel?

Seth can talk more about how useful Fugue is for FF but that is e1 Fugue which is a little different

If you care more about specifically buffing Himeko, Fugue is gonna be a little better imo since Anaxa relies on his hits to apply implant, while Fugue’s break buff is unconditional

and fugue will give you superbreak too, while anaxa is just a 50% dmg boost

the thing with anaxa is that he basically lets all allies reduce weakness, something that only fugue at e6 does

which helps himeko get her charges more often

Yeah, but compared to other supports it wouldn't be as good. Neuvi's ICD is actually pretty bad, so he doesn't benefit much from vapes since he only hits one every 3 ticks of his CA. A support that focuses more on things like DMG%, RES Shred and HP/Crit buffing would be better for him.

I have a HSR question. I picked the game back up the other day with the Saber announcement and found out I have a guarantee on the limited banner.
Since pity and guarantee doesn't carry over to Saber's banner, I was wondering if it'd be a good idea to use the guarantee to get one of the newer characters

My main teams currently are:
Acheron (E2S1)/Pela/Sparkle/Aventurine
Rappa/Fugue/Ruan Mei or Robin/Lingsha or Gallagher
Firefly/HMC/Ruan Mei or Robin/Lingsha or Gallagher
Dr. Ratio/Topaz/Robin/Aventurine

I'm not too famliar with what any of the characters from 3.0 onwards do, so any recommendations would be nice

Therta: Erudition DPS, really wants Tribbie and Anaxa as supports. AoE attacks build stacks on enemies, Ult gives eSkill which makes use of stacks to release super super strong eSkill. One of strongest characters atm (massively shilled, potential fall off later), absolute strongest at e2

Aglaea: Remembrance DPS (destruction unit in disguise), fastest character in the game by a mile. Uses memosprite + high speed to give herself ridiculous personal attack buffs (she can get up to 250 speed and 7.5k attack as a f2p unit), and is a really good damage dealer. Relies heavily on having massive energy battery, as she needs to remain in ult status constantly to be good. e1 fixes this, but Sunday and Huohuo are required at e0. Sunday is her BiS support and borderline required for her to function ideally

3.1
Mydei: HP scaling Destruction DPS, kind of a weird unit cause he goes into auto battling but amazing at sustainless comps and is all around a very solid meta character. Will probably scale to non-erudition content better than Therta, but may still suffer. Tribbie is a good support but not necessary, Hyacine is best sustain but not necessary

Tribbie: Solid pseudo-erudition Harmony sub-dps. Weaker than Sunday and Robin in buffs at e0, partially makes up for it by having an amazing energy mechanic which allows her to abuse DDD, and also has solid sub-dps. At e1, she is the best support in the game as she can amplify and focus all of your damage into 124% true damage onto the enemy with highest HP. Again, supremely mega stupid broken

3.2
Castorice: Currently best character in the game at e0, HP scaling Remembrance (Erudition in disguise). Really wants Tribbie, really wants Hyacine, not sure about budget options as much. Relies on teammates losing and regaining HP to use her ult, which then summons a dragon memosprite that does damage and acts as a nuke when it dies.

Anaxa: Wind erudition (pseudo nihility) sub-dps for Therta, can also work as a very strong main dps by himself. Works by installing a debuff on enemies that causes his next attacks to trigger his skill after the attack (so basic -> skill, skill -> skill). Also works as a decent debuffer and installs weaknesses on enemies.

3.3 (Not out yet, leaks from here)
Hyacine: ||Remembrance healer, BiS for Castorice and all HP scaling units. Deals massive damage with her memosprite as well, idk that much more about her cause i found her kit boring and I don't have a use for her. She's also Acheron's BiS sustain if you have her s1||

Cipher: ||Nihility sub dps, her ult deals true damage equal to a % of all damage dealt by teammates. Super super broken mechanic, as a unit herself she's somewhat middling (after some unforunate v4 nerfs. She may still be very good in practice). Offers decent debuffing abilities, and with her lightcone she is a competitive side grade if not upgrade to Jiaoqiu in Acheron comps. She also has some FuA in her kit, so she works decently for Feixiao as well if you have her. ||

3.4 (Not out yet, vague leaks)
Phainon: ||Destruction DPS, is theorized to be "Acheron but for buffs". Basically, works similarly to Acheron but with buffs instead of debuffs. Most likely revolves around getting into his ultimate status and then dealing massive damage. He is theorized to be able to give himself additional turns/actions, given that his relic set has a 48% attack buff that lasts for one turn (additional turns/actions don't decrease buff counts), and a DU curio that is 100% made for him. So far it has been said that he has two separate parts of his kit that required rewriting the code base of combat in order to make it work, specifically that he has a third skill in his enhanced form and also has some weird property with his territory. Not 100% clear tbh. Is also a Kevin expy, from HI3, and is hopefully going to be really strong||

Saber: Wind dest, ||likely has 100% action advance in her kit||, nothing else is known

Archer: Quantum hunt, ||has been described as a unit designed around Sparkle, meaning SP hungry and wanting 50% AA ig||

Tbh, I'm not sure what I'd recommend for you

You've missed out on Therta, Aglaea, Mydei, Castorice, Anaxa, who are the dps characters of 3.X so far

Phainon could be a decent option if you wanted to get a meta dps

Tribbie is really strong but mainly meant for Therta and Castorice at e0, she becomes significantly stronger at e1

I don't think Hyacine is worth it unless you want Castorice or Mydei or want to use Blade again

Oh yeah, Blade Kafka SW and Jingliu are getting buffed in 3.4

I could go for Phainon, but I also plan to go pretty much all-in on Saber and I might go for Archer's LC as well so I'm likely gonna be fine DPS wise.
Tribbie kinda sounds like the best option, but I'm not really sure where I'd put her unless she works well with the collab characters. Unless Cypher ends up being a good alterative to Jiaoqiu for Acheron at E0S0, I may just have to go for Jiaoqiu on a rerun.

JQ just had his rerun in the first half of the current patch, so you'll be waiting a while

I'm going to say this again for Cipher, you should feel free to read it cause her kit is getting revealed in 24 hours anyways for the livestream: ||she is a good sub dps and works as an alternative to JQ at e0s1. s1 is needed to work optimally as a JQ replacement||

Tribbie is probably getting a rerun in 3.4 if I had to guess

Will also mention, the Fate collab is PROBABLY running from 3.4 to end of 3.6, based on Archer's log-in to claim dates

So you have lots of time to go for Saber if you're more interested in one of the upcoming characters in the near future

Lightcone is definitely an improvement for damage and QoL but not necessary compared to some of the others

4pc eagle serval works great for generating stacks; use mini-Herta in PF

Tribbie is a godsend for her, but RMC is also quite good

Lingsha rn is her best sustain since all of her attacks (minus BA) do AoE

of course though, all the aoe content is really helping her rn

So her F2P performance will likely go down once the content changes

I'm good with evelyn but's it's mainly miyabi rotations

Maybe awkward at the start of a level for the first rotation but once you're in the swing of it it'd just be drop a miyabi full charge attack, use the window to swap to viv and drop ex attack/ult, swap again for Nicole then back to miyabi I assume, given Nicole ex allows a swap
