A problem in every gacha I've played is that past a point there's never close fights, you either win quickly or die quickly. That makes it hard for me to engage with or care about the mechanics of the game.

you can't just release a endgame dungeon that can be cleared in a fresh save file in one day like you can in a regular hack and slash
you have to artificially extend the playing time to keep people playing until it goes EOS
that's why I don't believe Zenless fans when they say "this game is immune to powercreep unlike Star rail"
Zenless' endgame modes are all DPS checks, there's a hard limit any character can achieve in that game as well, all hoyo has to do is create a new character with better multipliers and then you have yet another game with powercreep

if it was all skill based you could beat shiyu and DA in your first hour of playing the game

Well, yeah? You still have to play the game and level up your gear idk why that’s seen as a negative that’s just gaming. It’s not like you can hop straight into wilds and beat the endgame monster with starting weapons, you still need to progress your gear as you get better. That’s what separates Zenless from other gachas I’ve played, pulling new characters ≠ instantly winning because you need to actually play them. Is it as complex and difficult as other games? No ofc not it’s made to be played on phones. Is it still engaging and challenging to a degree? Yes.

||based on Mydei's parts in the story, we can see that the demigods are basically full blown copies of the coreflames they inherit. this, combined with lots of existing evidence including the shape of amphoreus, gives further indication that amphoreus is an eternal cycle where gods are slain by flamechasers who become the next gods and the cycle continues. rn i'm not sure if the black tide is part of the cycle, or if it's disrupting it. not part of the theory rn tho. my theory is, if amphoreus really is a cycle of gods and flamechasers, and the gods represent aeons, are we supposed to take this as a hint that the greater universe is also in a cycle of mortals and aeons? and everything just keeps repeating for some reason?||

If you compare C0 to C0, then yeah
But if you get Iansan's C5, the highest her ATK buff can go is 810. Plus, she can use the Cinder City artifact set to give a team-wide 40% Damage Buff as well
The main downside is that Iansan needs your on-fielder to move a lot to maintain the max buff, so she's not as universal as Bennet who just needs you to sit in the circle

She works best with Plunge Attackers (including Varesa), Mavuika, Kinich and sorta Clorinde
She can also work with a bunch of other DPS who just move a lot as part of their attack animations (eg. Arlecchino) at higher cons.
Any sort of movement counts, even idle animations, but you need to move a bunch to maintain the max ATK buff

I'm not sure how it works exactly, but I'd imagine it just checks if there's any deviation from the default standing position and then takes that number and converts it in an equivalent amount of Nightsoul points for Iansan to gain depending on the level of deviation.
I'm not too familiar with Unity, but I'd imagine that there's some metric that tracks the position of a character's animation bones, so with that assumption it'd be pretty straightforward to implement in theory.
That way, they also don't have to program values for each individual character so it's super efficient

Finally got 36 Stars on this Abyss thanks to Varesa!
She absolutely destroyed the 2nd side (when I did the rotation properly)
Best part is, the team was kinda scuffed.
Varesa and Iansan aren't fully built yet, as Varesa's on a 2pc/2pc build with a 60/208 crit ratio and Iansan's artifacts are only partially levelled.
I used ToTM/Fav Dehya for the last slot since she's the best Pyro Off-fielder I have
And I forgot that Chev was on Cinder City as well so there may have been a bit of awkward overlap there too

But that won't be until the end of 3.X
I will say though, one of my hesitations surrounding Aglaea was that she already had her BiS team
I think it's much better to have a weaker team and get a BiS later on
Aglaea has the benefit of having extremely high action count so she's still super strong and probably will be for a while

But C3 and C6 are pretty good DPS increases for on-field Dehya as well
And C4 is an indirect DPS increase, since it lowers your ER requirements meaning you can get more ATK, HP and Crit on your artifacts
