The thing with guardian is
If you get a good enough shield you can block anything, combine that with some relic effects that do things like reflecting the damage he blocks, heal himself on guard, etc, he really shines for that. He doesn't do any big amounts of damage like other characters so his point is to use the shield and crush their poise.

they're really cool and usually pretty well balanced for multiplayer, but just the fact that you cant practice them, you might just get unlucky and not find any weapons with their weakness, and your teammates might just be bad at the game and force you to play solo

i finally beat him on duos yesterday

basically just || ran ironeye while my friend ran revenant, we literally got the madness tower instantly as we spawned into the game so we got vykes war spear and frenzy seals instantly. collected tons of poison grease and got my friend a rot greataxe. we also were running noklateo for the revive and weapon dupes so we could both use vykes war spear/frenzy seals if we got them. in the actual fight itself we used frenzy in the first phase and a bit into the second which managed to get him like 40 ish percent down, then i used poison to keep damage going while my friend applied rot and just keeping alive while making sure to hit libra whenever we got the chance got us the kill. Messing around with the summons even for a few seconds is pointless lol ||

||So it was a random revenant I played with, I was Wylder, the only madness we got was an incantation she had but I got two Golden Order greatswords. The one thing I did specifically look for and actually find was a less likely to be targeted perk on a weapon which I kept. Revenant basically distracted all the summons while I handled Libra. She unfortunately went down like three times, but he had invited a riot before some of those, so the summons actually ignored me and started fighting themselves. Also I staggered Libra late into the fight which made him go angry, forget I existed, and attack his summons.||
