I might go for the 130 crit Rapier tho
could use pretty much anything offhand
That combined Frenzy Spells with the ||teleport|| spell in the dlc and that looks like a really cool build
||less of a teleport and more of going invisible for a bit||
I'm only active here and in like one more server
I cannot keep track of so many people
LOL
im active in like 4 seperate strive servers, a few private servers, and a youtuber server
It actually gives i frames no?
with the strive server its like the same people
i think it does yeah
My gf used it to escape ||Gaius charge||
I'm acive here, and two MH servers and that's it
but iirc the description describes it as ||going invisible||
You can also act out of it before you become fully visible again
That's very cool
Helped a lot on that fight
It's consensus, right?
||Everyone hated Gaius, right?||
i liked it
definitely didnt like a certain attack that you all definitely know
but everything else i had a lot of fun with ngl
||The fact that he always started with that charge, and you can't even parry it like in DS1... Pure shit.||
||that was the only issue for me, everything else i liked, even when he did the charge other times in the fight||
One thing I learned about that fight is that the charge counts as a spell
Because ||Radagon|| can parry it
My mind went INSTANTLY to DS1
But I was completely disappointed
||OH YEAH I REMEMBER MY FRIEND FIGHTING HIM AND GOING "HE'S INTANGIBLE DURING IT???"||
hold on a second
Can Moon spells eat it?
Can I Golden Shield it?
eternal darkness........
Maybe Thops barrier would work
Nah bro
I need to test that
Next time I'm there on my next char
eternal darkness could be really funny but i doubt it would work
can i just say, eternal darkness is like the coolest spell ever
its a really cool idea
you just summon a small black hole to eat all your enemies' magic projectiles
Only really useful in Raya Lucaria tho
yeah thats the bad part
its not super useful
Probably a good counter spell in pvp
Prob
theres a lot of spells and weapon arts and stuff like that, its really cool but its super niche
its sadf
I think it's really funny that people use buckler parry when we have better parries now with the spell parries
sigh
i hate carian retaliation
they should make the spell parries have worse parry frames to make up for, you know, being spell parries
I do agree with that
Why tf does that get a better parry than the Buckler?
but nah they're just better overall
Makes no sense
no reason not to use them
I think they tried that in DS3 and it was pretty underwhelming
I still run my Buckler tho...
Ever since DS1
thats the kind of balancing i dont like in fromsoft games
I've never like buckler parry personally
Yeah, the spell parry shield on DS3 was shit
But like, they could've buffed it without making it THE best parry
I've always liked base shield/fist parries more
I find it so much more intuitive and easier
Again, been using it ever since DS1 tho
honestly i just dont like parries in general
I only didn't on DS2 because...
I forgot shields existed there
feel like they take away from the flow of combat
Lmao
in pvp not so much cause like theres not much flow anyways
its just endless footsies
Imo it depends on the game
Power Stance Fun.
Double Furnace Demon Swords go BAM
all of the games have long parry animations so not really imo
i mean riposte
Ah, I see
I find parries so cool
But it used to be MUCH better on DS1
Wasn't so useful on 3 and ER imo
Only against certain enemies and bosses
Yeah critical anims are kinda silly but I think they really sell what you're doing
using a parry to get a good opening for a big weapon art or attack? now thats where its at
The fact you can parry with PSUGSs will never not be funny to me
Funny thing is, I buckler parry until they open for riposte and then I use the Fire Storm
"Burn O Flame"?
Is that the new name?
i think yeah
Thing does DAMAGE
i feel like firestorm gets worse in every game
Chaos firestorm was pretty silly tho
that was ds1 right
Yeah
that was the best iteration
It was bad in 1
Very bad in 2
Horrible in 3
But actually super good on ER imo
and it got worse from there
Higher damage firestorm that leave lava behind
Iirc the damage also scaled off your humanity or some shit I don't remember
it was good for oneshots
Shit damage though
Two shot Manus with it in one of my DS1 playthroughs
It did
Chaos worked like that back then
I miss it tbh
Walking around with 30 humanity was SCARY
I do kinda wish we had a mechanic like that in later games
Losing runes is bad, but like...
Losing Humanity was just absurd
I also hated losing my skin on DS2
Pretty easy to build up a bunch though since it's pretty easy to not die in DS1
20 Estus and all that
I don't get why you need that much btw
No Blue Estus
I never went above 10 and even then sometimes that was overkill
On DS3 and ER I only have 9 Healing Flasks
And 5 Blue ones
My Gf plays 7-7
She just SPAMS Comet tho
I personally split my ER flask count to 10-4
The Blue Teardrop Talisman made my mage go through ||Belurat Castle|| with only 2 potions
With DS3 I was 10-5 generally but I used very minimal spells so it was probably more worth to just have 15 health flasks and move on
I've seen people who played with Vigor on 50 and 15 Health Flasks with that Ring that makes them heal more
Also heavy armor and greatshield
I did a run like that once
They really afraid to die
Was pretty silly ngl
I have done a Havel Cosplay Run
And it was SUPER funny
My favorite run was probably my Dragonslayer Cosplay run once the DLC hit
The Dragonslayer armor was so goated
Favorite run for me was my Solaire Cosplay on DS3
Idk man, for some reason, just fighting normally with a normal straight sword and a normal shield...
I felt like I was playing true DS
I typically gravitate towards the big shit in ARPGs
Guts cosplay also amazing
Lol
SO FUN
The Weapon Art just bonked even Midir
I loved that weapon
What will come next
Big Fists
I still remember my first time beating Midir
Took me 4h on my first time...
It was NG+3 and it took me 3 weeks I think before I finally got them
Only other boss that's taken me anywhere near as long was Amygdala in the chalice dungeon for Bloodborne
Really?
Even the Chalice Dungeon one was kinda ok for me
Orphan of Kos wasn't
Also took me almost 6h to beat
And that fucking Fire Dog on the dungeons...
I actually beat Orphan my first try on my first go through lmao
NAHHHHHHHHHH
He fucked me up so bad
I'm being fr I've never done it on the first try since then but generally the fight isn't too bad for me
Maria was kinda easy for me
My gf hates me for that
I just parried man
It's really cool that Bloodborne bosses are so good even after so long
I do not like most of them
The DLC ones are cool, but really...
That's it for me
I like BB
Just not as much as the other ganes tbh
I really like the majority of Bloodborne bosses
Cleric Beast is fun
Amelia was fun
Martyr Logarius was SUPER fun
Gherman was fun af too
I think I only like those...but
I heard recently that Bloodborne was intended to be a sequel to Demon Souls originally, and ngl I can see it in a lot of the design descisions after playing DeS
I should play DeS again
That game's great
I really hope more people play it, since it's a really interesting game to discuss
i need to get back to bloodborne too busy trying to beat elden ring once tho lol
Definitely do that when you finish Elden Ring, Bloodborne is like top 3 Soulsborne titles
I didn't like it much tbh
LMAO
My personal favs are
- DS3
- Elden Ring
- DS2
- DS1
- Bloodborne
- DeS Remake
I have not played Sekiro
I played that only once in a friend's house
Is it too different from the Remake?
It felt really similar to me
It's pretty similar, but the changes the Bluepoint did make were for the worse imo
I'll be honest
I didn't understand the game
I did the first area and it was cool af
Then I went into the desert area
And there, I basically maxed my two weapons and got super strong
By the time I finished it, I had a quality spear on +4 and my Longsword was actually maxed, I think on +10 or +15? I don't remember exactly
Still
When I went to the other areas...
Things were dying too easy
When it finally got hard again when I got back to Boletaria
I did that cute guy's quest and he gave me access to a ghost boss that gave me a sword to kill the king
I ignored because I wanted to do it with my two weapons
I died like 5 times to King Allant and decided to try that greatsword
Killed him on first try with that
Idk
I just felt like smt was wrong on 90% of the game
yea it was their first game under this new formula so its prob aged the worst out of them all. its also 15 years old. but the atmosphere is still so good
my love for demons souls is def nostalgia but theres so many good moments for me in that game as the first souls like game
like flame lurker made me shit my pants when i first saw him
now hes just w/e cuz its all been done before
Oh yeah
They needed experience
My first souls was actually DS3
But I gave up midway and came back to DS1
Finished DS1 and then restarted and finished DS3
Then Bloodborne
Then DeS on my friend's house
Then DS2 (took me a while, but now I love the game)
And finally DeS Remake and ER
Skyrim is my fav game ever tbh
My main save has 750h on my PS3
Besides all the chars I created on PS4, 5, PC and brother's house and friend's house
LMAO
i racked like 600 on pc but it was the only game i had really and i was in my hikkineet era
its in the top 10 probably but theres other stuff id put above it for sure
I just got OBSESSED when I first played
Everything was new and so cool
I got so immersed
I mean DeS isn't particularly difficult, it's just that there's a lot more unique interactions and design descisions found within the game that in my opinion make it an extremely fascinating game
my sister has that and i convinced her to do the intro in vr
I do agree that I should've looked more into the black and white world tendencies
shit was hilarious she almost broke the console
I mean while that is a factor that wasn't really what I was talking about
LMFAOOOOOO
Poor her
I'm the type that freezes and can't move
Or straight up passes out
the tendancies suck if im honest
I did not care for them and just did whatever
Blind playthrough so
BUT
I'm more talking about how because the Ancient Hero is blind, you can use a ring that masks the noise you make to completely change the dynamic of his fight
i bought des ps5 but its on the lower end of the to play list
i think the prison is still my favourite fromsoft design
OH
Shit, that's cool af actually
There's a ton of interactions like that
I liked that area
I really did
Maybe I should replay the remake
You can do a similar thing in Allants boss fight too
its not horror and its more atmospheric but no fromsoft level has put me on edge more than demons souls areas
I got surprised how pierce and slash for example do such different damages on different enemies
One of the most pervasive cheese methods for the fight is reducing your presence to the point you're practically invisible, and using poison mist or some shit to kill him when he turns his back
I know some enemies in DS have specific weaknesses
But like, they are REALLY apparent in DeS
there's shit like that in sekiro but its more about specific like items or side arms for a couple bosses
eg firecrackers basically instakill any animal-type boss or the snap seeds making illusions dissapear in the lady butterfly fight
Probably one of my favorite examples is the holy maiden, there's like 3 routes to victory
Makes me wish more of the side bosses of elden ring had puzzles or secret weaknesses to them
Soo many of the dungeon bosses end up being a really low tier enemy that just dies super quick
It's why I like dark souls 1 so much
You get bosses like the iron golem that you can make fall off the ledge if you position them to stagger just right
Or the Taurus demon having the ledge to plunge attack off
All the dragons being weak to lightning
Or circumventing Nitos skeletons
Seath with the health regen crystal
It's very cool that there's just little bits of knowledge like that, that can make all the difference in how you play
the only cool thing about dark souls 2 that i liked was how exploring can make some boss fights easier
That too
if you don't do make him fall of instantly the Dragonrider has the lever that makes the arena bigger
And the snake woman boss has less poison in the arena if you burn the windmill
Also I just like the gimmick with Vendrick
I think that sort of stuff is just a different iteration of the ideas Demons Souls did
Getting 5 giant souls is cool and adds some player choice to how you fight him
Like lightning up the Lost Sinner arena if you find the key to unlock the side gates
Elden Ring really lacks in the details like that
It's all mostly weapon interactions
Or how having a torch in the catacombs will make the one NPC vendor there agro
I think the coolest elden ring got with it were the side dungeons
Like the light puzzles with those shadow enemies
people hated how lost sinner you lost your lock on if he jumped high enough
i loved that
cuz the lights keep the lock on
And those dlc dungeons where the ceiling smashes you but you can get on top them to find secret items
Hopefully we get more unique boss stuff in games after Elden Ring
Isn't lost sinner a woman actually
I think so
Cuz she's meant to represent the chaos witches/bed of chaos from ds1
Iirc there's a detail too where you can see the bed of chaos insect crawl on the mask during the cutscene for her
I dunno about that, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case given the worm
Yeah
Like all the four major bosses of DS2 are just reincarnations of the original four from ds1
Except the spider one because it's just infested the corpse of the dragon that held that soul
DS2 lore really is something
I do think it's less like
Actual reincarnation
And more just the cycle of things in that world
The fact that Aldia was implied to be like Gwyns brother or something blew my mind when I first played DS2, mainly because the idea of Gwyn having a brother was really weird to me
Like it's almost a ritual for the chosen undead to go along a certain path and meet specific enemies and do similar things in order to eventually link the first flame
I should really refresh my memory of the lore for DS2 sometime
I like DS2 tbf because it feels the most like the world's still alright out of any game
Drangleic and all that is just a really desolate and dangerous place that alot of people go to in search of treasure and stuff
I mean that's one reason they go there, yeah
Does make me wish we knew more about the world outside of what we saw in the games
Because there's all these places that come off as still intact societies completely separate for the most part from the events of the main game
I mean it's just a different continent essentially is my interpretation of it
Ah, I see
Also the far eastern lands that all the japanese stuff comes from
for every one thing i liked about ds2 there was about 25 things i just absolutely hated
I think DS2 is alright, it's no masterpiece but I enjoy it when I play it
Just ignore the SOTFS iron keep smelter demon run up and you're golden
What secrets lie beneath the jar?

this messmer spear build feels like it was meant for ng+, 80/60 dex/faith feels great on it
Maybe I'm missing something, but this is quite possibly the worst spell I've ever seen in a souls game.
at 99 faith btw 🥵👍 https://t.co/I3fR0pv2Ta

What were they cooking
All of those droplets and only 3 hit... What the hell
got Mohg on RL1
prob the funnest RL1 boss i've done actually
i used two straight swords with seppuku ash of wars on them to bleed mohg through his first phase
and then once i hit phase 2 and his bleed resistance was higher i switched to star fists with cragblade and frost on, did some charge R2s to stagger him + frost him, couple extra hits and it was a win
I honestly find Malenia easier than Mogh with Star Fists
Prob because I fought her so many times I basically know everything she does now
Mogh doesn't get interrupted, so I find that you can make some mistakes against Malenia and attack at the wrong time, while Mogh will kill you on one mistake
I'm not saying Malenia RL1 is easy, she isn't even on RL200
But like, I think you can make more mistakes with her than some other bosses
i already did a run with the spiked caestus and i remember it being a real pain because of the moveset
not rl1 for it ofc
so i've opted for the uchigatana with unsheathe and i've had some success with it on my attempts so far
i just need the clean run where she doesnt like
do clone or waterfowl unexpectedly
Mohg was actually pretty easy for me once i found a good method to keep my damage up on him
bleeding only got me so far in the fight so i just opted to use the star fists the moment the second phase began and i bled him so many times his resistance was too high to proc anymore while properly fighting him
also helped that i used cragblade and got a charge r2 on him before he started attacking again in phase 2
made it alot easier to stagger him and get more damage
geez malenia is really bs
she's got the easiest moveset in the whole game to play around but she's carried by fowl and the clone move
i know how to avoid them
but she can literally just spam them one after another and if im trying to punish her at all, she can just do it at me and because im recovering, im dead
i'd rather fight like, 10 Bed of Chaoses in a row because atleast with that boss there's a way to get around the bs
malenia just sucks to fight
feels so artificially difficult
i dont agree
i find waterfowl like one of the easiest attacks to avoid
its her basic attacks that are difficult
just cause of the sheer number of them
it helps if you're light rolling
your roll goes so far you get out most of her attack strings with one roll
my main gripe with her is like
i'll fight her in phase 2 and im thinking "okay, first hit in the phase, let's get her" and then as im going for my second she instantly fowls in response
she's just horribly inconsistent
Just started elden ring and I gotta ask
||Is Margit purposely designed to be a huge pain in the ass early on, or do I just suck? I beat him but he was kicking my ass alot||
Oh OK cool
Get stronger, find the cool stuff off the beaten path
Cause I beat him, but it took a while
I had 1500 runes in that boss arena, and by God I wasn't about to just let those poof into non existence
Also through the power of me dicking around I got the guts sword
Sadly I invested into Vigor like a dumbass and don't have all the stuff needed to actually use it well
Investing into Vigor is important so that was probably the best thing you could've done ngl
Now I need 1 more level of str and 3 more levels of dex to use the thing well
You'll get them eventually
You could also head to the south, there's some cool shit going on down there
South from Calelid, or south from limgrave?
Limgrave
Ah, some guy was talking about some fort thingy
The east portion is also pretty important if you haven't found the church there
I got the third church which had a portal to caelid
To a big other church thingy with a big bear looking dude in it
With a big chimera looking MFer guarding the place
Did you get the Physick flask inside it?
Ye
Good, that item is extremely important
Ok
But yeah, go to the far south of Limgrave
Yknow what
I might go get payback on that one horse armor guy dickhead right outside spawn
light rolling is boring i want to have drip or big weapon or both
and making a fight easier isnt very fun, i want it to be hard
thats fair
my complaints will be much worse when i finish my no-hit run most likely
well actually maybe not
its similar but rl1 has less damage
yeah
but surely theres some small hits you can take in rl1
im gonna need to dodge the ENTIRETY of waterfowl every time
all i could think doing it was how amazing it'd be to have 60 vigor, and 60 faith for my flame art unsheathe uchigatana
and just tank everything and have all the damage
it makes it easier if you use freeze pots
the proc instantly knocks her out of fowl (though you can only do it twice in any attempt)
too easy
rip
i mean it's still a game mechanic
also id never levelled a character past 40 vigor until the dlc character came out
one that i dont wanna use
rip
spirit ashes are a game mechanic and im not using them for the run
good luck on that then
whenever i end up actually doing it
it might be a while before i get unburnt out from elden ring
and im probably gonna finish the dlc before anything else once that happens
i did the same until one day i just did a pure strength run, i levelled to 60 vigor cuz why not... never doin 40 vig on a normal run again
||Godrick is a little piss piss boi
He's so easy compared to margit||
||literally the weakest of all the golden lineage to the point that everyone at some point has actively either insulted him or beat his ass||
I have upgraded the funny clang sword
It's crazy how actually meeting the requirements to use it makes it so much better
You were using it without meeting the requirements
Yes
I went from not doing a lot of damage to one shotting enemies
It's beautiful
Also the wondrous physic thingy ma bobber is really good cause I got one that buffs charged attack dmg and increases stamina
Out side the ||godrick|| arena I've been grinding enemies to dunk on and I get about 2k runes in like, 2 ish minutes
||one of the enemies is a giant who gets staggered in 2 art of war charged uppercuts and he alone is 1.2k runes, though I also like bum rushing the jars near there for the mats they drop to sell later||
It's an okay set-up
but most if not all of the people in this channel probably already got spoiled or already played the game
Yeah
Ok
Also I gotta go activate godricks great rune cause according to my coworkers his is pretty good
Yeah, it's one of the best Great Runes
Ok sweet
I'm sitting at a nice 30 str which is cool
I could dump one more level in to 1 hand the thing, but I like my 1.5x multiplier anyway
Also I dumped bozos remembrance for runes cause I don't really wanna associate with him at all by using any of his gear, I'd rather just roll with the extra xp
That's fair
Although the dragon arm dis look neat I guess
The dexterity req tho looks less neat
Does ded even do anything for you statwise?
Like aside from reqs
Dex? It very minimally speeds up your spell casts
damage for dex scaling weapons
I see
I am feeling DUMB and BLIND
I just spent 1 fucking hour roaming around the Ruins of Rauh, searching for Devonia since I realized I hadn't killed her
I even had to face those weird spider scorpion things that make my arachnophobia and anxiety SPIKE
And she is RIGHT BESIDES THE GRACE
SHE WAS THERE ALL ALONG AND I IGNORED HER
be me
get to nerd academy to give everyone there swirlies
two nerds on the front porch cast repeated spells at me to stop my advance
I flawlessly roll past their dorkasts
"Nice spells idiots, I cast heap of raw iron"
both nerds dead on the spot
Then I proceeded to make a run through the crackhead den they have on campus and I fought their cracked out dog
The dog was a funny fight cause I could 4 shot him, but he 2 shot me
Pretty standard Raya Lucaria all in all seems like
The "nice spells idiots" bit has got to be the funniest thing I've done in game yet
Aside from me running past a whole horde of dragons in caelid tryna get the funny clang sword
You mean the dogs?
From Dragonbarrow?
So I had to run past multiple dragons
Yep
I see
There's a really good rune farming spot near where you're warped too there btw
I'm guessing that's where the mother dragon is?
My co workers were talking about that and how it drops 50k runes on death apparently
And I want them runes
I want money
Also smiting stones 2 to get my sword up to +6
I mean that's one spot
Also I beat up the tree sentinel near spawn as payback
There also this grace near the bridge with the dragon on it, and there's like 5-6 little dudes who each drop like 1.5k runes per death really close to it
It's an amazing farming spot
Noted
It'll prolly be really good with the clang sword cause I can cleave through em with one go
Also I got a blood flame incantation I can't use
How da hell do those work anyways
Then level faith and arcane if you fo
I have a urgent heal one and a pack of spirit dogs I can't really use and I'm confused as to why not
You need a weapon to cast with and the stats to manifest it
The dogs you need a spirit calling bell
OOOOOOH
You can buy one
And there'll be an icon on screen when you're in an area where you can summon them
I might lvl faith to get the blood flame infuse cause that seems really nice
Foooooooolish samurai warrior, welding a magic sword
After I get endurance up to 20
Bloodflame is really strong, I definitely recommend it
Iirc the buff has a pretty short duration unfortunately
My swords enchantment is to make a big metallic CLANG anytime it hits anything
Be it wood, flesh, rock, whatever
It must clang
There's got to be a mod for that right?
I don't know
landed a parry while online just now
How did it feel?
Awesome, now kill god
tbh I was too zoned in to pop off
Damn
Damn
they invaded with a proper pvp build so they had knives
Oh, did you get shanked at low health?
yeah
Unfortunate
we both had like a sliver of health
Iirc you can get a charged attack after a critical attack, so if you had done a delayed one to catch their roll if they went for a panic roll at low health
I tried to catch rolls but I failed
Unfortunate
I heard that rapiers in the offhand is a very good way to catch rolls in DS2(the duel was in DS2)
every souls game has their own parry timings I feel like
I believe they do
I thought DS2 was a difficult game to use parries way back
I haven't really experimented with parries in ER that much except like certain bosses
its hard to make out which ones are parriable at times
I still don't know if you can parry godrick or not
I mean the spell parries are the goats
ER is actually the goat of build variety
True
I still have so much builds I would want to try out
but I can't because I usually play with 1 or 2 weapons per run
I wish weapon arts were overall more useful on bosses
godslayer ones' look cool and all but its pretty much worse than doing a jumping attack
I you either got a tactical nuke in your back pocket or the dragon fist one
dragon fist as in the one you get from godrick's remembrance?
Yeah
Godslayers are p good. The do a slight percentile tick
Really nice on endgame and dlc bosses
ive been using reduvia blood blade and the poison sword at the same time and its been pretty dope so far since i p much do almost constant dps in either the form of poison or the magic dagger strike from the blood blade
and then when i actually get in i hit them with the poison sword to continue applying damage and the the poison keeps killing even when im dodging so its pretty fun

reduvia is crazy
that dagger really just does crazy damage and a bunch of bleed buildup
Yeah, daggers in general are really strong, and the Reduvia is just one of those strong options
I tried a double Black Knife run, but I just couldn't adapt to NEVER staggering anyone
Even the Godrick Soldiers couldn't be interrupted by them
I feel the same about my Twinblades run
But like, Eleonora's poleblade at least deals INSANE stance dmg on that weapon art
So less worse
But as someone who loves greatswords a bit too much...
Daggers felt so weird to me
From my knowledge the Glintstone Kris and the Misericorde are arguably the best dagger combo in the game
Glintstone Kris to rack up stance damage and posture breaks with Misericorde to capitalize
Ohhhhh
That looks cool af
I was running Misericorde with a Buckler for the parries
LOL
Lmao
I also have a sleep build with Misericorde
Super strong now with the new Dlc items
I just love critical attacks
They feel so good
Fr
I don't really remember, there's a talisman that increases critical damage right?
Yup
Dagger Talisman
Classic
I'm runing Ritual Sword, St Trina's Smile, Dagger Talisman and Dual Handed Talisman
So I sleep them, double hands on Misericorde, Royal Knight's Resolve and BAM
Dopamine rush
LMAO
Understandable
But really, I miss my DS3 build sometimes...
Dark Zweihander on main hand
Electric Rapier on left hand, which surprisingly has a parry
40 int and faith for the pyromancies and dmg
I had a lot of fun
Might try doing smt like it on ER
Sounds like a fun build ngl
Dunno what you're gonna have to replace dark with but I'm sure you'll be able to find something
Very versatile
The rapier hit smaller enemies and the zweihander deletes everything slow enough for it to hit
I might go with smt like a Cold Zweihander and Fire Rapier
I feel like it could be cool
Actually, change
Cold Rapier for easier proc and Fire Art Zweihander for DAMAGE
I know there's this one frost AoW that's really solid rn too
Makes like a cloud of ice
Oh
It got buffed or smt?
Or is it smt new in the DLC?
I haven't found everything yet
I dunno
Kinda exploring on my own
Found the secret Twinblades today
Lol
That's fair, I haven't been able to play for quite a while but I'm looking forward to being able to in the near future
Finally got arcane to level 50
It was at 33 about an hour ago💀
Now I guess I can use bleed weapons if I wanted lmao
Please get that Mind to 50
So you can be a Premium Wretch
Yeah, I think more mind is the play
I'm gonna lose it
(dlc spoilers)
is it chilling mist?
thats found on a scarab near ranni's rise
I think it is
Do you guys have any tips on how to defeat the ||Leda fight with all the NPCs|| this fight is giving me so much trouble
Like out of anyone in the dlc I'm ashamed to say that this is the fight I'm the most stuck on
did you do ||ansbach and thiolliers|| questlines
||ansbachs but not Thiolliers||
||do you have a +10 mimic tear||
||yeah I've been using it but the problem is that they just ignore it and they all come after me 😭||
||Leda, Dane, Freyja, and Moore (he's honestly the worst one I should've told him to stay sad)||
ahhh yea, ||i told moore to get over it and that was probably the biggest mistake i couldve done. hes so much a fucking tank that it took what felt like a solid 5 minutes just killing him and him alone||
my order of killing with ||ansbach, thiollier and my mimic at my side was least armored to most armored||
||I just kinda beat the shit out of Freyja before Moore shows up then I try to kill him until Leda and Dane decide that it's time to jump me||
||this fight makes me feel like Mahito||
what kind of build are you running?
Strength
godspeed
i dont really have a good idea on what to do with strength but ||the enhanced lion flip ash of war can help pancake people easily||
yuh, good luck and you got this
The aow I'm using RN also pancakes people but it's way too slow
yeaaaah the ||enhanced flip|| is crazy fast
plus you get ||two for the price of one aow|| so that helps to also catch any stragglers trying to come in after the first one
||since you have ansbach, you can also try any greases you may have saved. messmer flame grease works pretty well||
Alright
If you havent beat it, my best advice is this (note, I didnt use mimic so it will likely not be as awful)
||Spawn in and target Freyja until ansbach arrives. Those two will remain aggroed on each other for pretty much the whole fight. Gang her till the next member (i think moore) spawns. Basically, my strat was to pure target moore until dane shows up. Try and kill Freyja at this point so that ansbach takes the aggro of either moore or dane. From there, it really just comes down to finishing off moore asap, while just avoiding dane until Moore dies. From there just target dane so that all you have left is Leda who is a relative non-issue by that point.||
Definitely a bs fight but between ur mimic and the other summon, you should be able to do it
me personally i only had to fight ||hornsent, dane, and leda||
still incredibly annoying and one of my least favorite fights in the game
i like it a lot thematically, and the ost is killer, but yea on subsequent dlc attempts i did everything i could to cut down the numbers as much as possible LOL
having it only just be ||dane and leda|| is very funny
Yeah thematically it's sick
But
I want Ledas sword and armor so bad
i would kill for her armor
||
||
||speaking of dane, i hate his moveset so much, its really annoying to fight||
Sir Ansbach Inquiry 📜✨️
I wanted to get Elden Ring on PC so me and my friend can do a co-op run. Does anyone know if he can still do it if he's banned from online play? I figured that he may be able to since it's a mod but idk.
it should work just fine because it doesn't connect to fromsoftware servers
i think at most you have to be weary of easy-anticheat but i think the mod turns it off when using it anyway
Aight
Again? Man they're going to get nerfed to hell before I can even get to the dlc
theyre gonna fix ||rain of fire|| jesus christ its about time
I can't wait for dipshits to complain about ||nerfed radahn again||
So excited to hear people try and act better than everyone else cuz they beat it “before the nerfs”
Time to lock in and get to Radahn real quick so I can be like those people /s
Friend of mine actually did beat the dlc before the previous nerfs funnily enough.
To top it off, I believe steam puts a date on when you've unlocked an achievement.
Mistimed all my rolls and immediately died for it💀
Nowhere in this arena is safe from this dude
Yeah, that move requires dodging the pull in rather than the attack itself which took me way too long to figure out
I was just like "why the hell cant I dodge this???" and it was cuz I wasnt actually dodging the part I had to
Yeah I can consistently dodge the pull in, but I missed it that time because I thought he would start phase 2 with the giant nuke aoe, like he always does, and it caught me off guard
I feel like I could have a better time beating ||consort radahn|| if I wasn't on ng+3😅
Oh my gosh, yes, the worst feeling is getting duped by a move thats easier to dodge
you can dodge the follow-up if you immediately run away iirc, it's just rough if you panic like at all
NOW it's worth it imo to do a Messmer Fire Icant run
I actually did it yesterday
Speedrun as fast as I could to Radahn and Mogh using a +10 Goslayer Greatsword
It still baffles me how easy it is to get +10 somber weapons in this game
Spent like 3h dying to Mogh due to lack of Vigor
I was Lv70 trying to fight him with barely enough stats to hold my weapon USING the Radagon Scarseal
Then I got into the DLC, ran straight to the ||Rellana|| skip, into ||Bonny Village|| and then into ||Messmer's Keep via Chuch District||
This let me run past every enemy until I got both ||Fire Snake and Rain of Fire||
Killing that mf ||Salza|| was not easy tho, I had to cheese him with a greatshield and lots of Guard Counters
Scadu Level 0, RL 85 by then, still no Vigor
LMFAO
kai is going to be playing bloodborne next month and the copium online is hes such a big streamer it will cause a big enough buzz that sony will finally remake the game and launch on pc

@vast helm
Damn that modded weapon is sick as hell
There's so many incredible weapons in this mod, it's great

Dumbass boss crashed down from the stratosphere and fucking dies

Wait I'm floated?
I defeated CEO of Racism
Cool first big boss, teaches you that you gotta be fast to get used to attack patterns
I think that's certainly one element of the fight, but I also think the other things are really subtle, and really hard to grasp as a new player, really glad you thought he was cool though, because genuinely he is such a sick boss
lmao
i think when he does that attack the loses health
had no idea it could die from it
who?
Margit
Individuals subject to racism can still be turbo racist Sloth
Also I found wolverine claws, these things are actually so fun to use
Claws are always really dope in From Software games, and there's some really cool stuff you can do with Elden Rings claws
What would you rate ?
It's an alright build
what would you suggest to make it great
What weapon are you using?
Okay, well I'd choose one of those weapons and use primarily that for however much longer you want to play the game for and just stick with leveling it's primary damage stat, and maybe invest some time into chalice dungeons to get some better blood gems
Thanks for the advice cheers
with dual damage weapons its best to farm for the generic blood gems too
the strat is just double great swords
i was using the spear gun i should go back to bloodborne i stopped at old yarnham last time i played
I kinda wanna do a run with blades of mercy ngl
Is a fun run

I’m fighting him RL1 with ungodly amounts of restrictions currently
sounds like a blast
I kinda wanna do a Fire Knight cosplay run
Why is this Heavy Thrusting Sword so god damn massive
I swear to god this thing is larger than some Great Spears
too much intelligence for an elon musk build
then as far as im aware you can only have 1 summon at a time. for a musk build you need at least 5 other people doing all the work for you
i dont get it
thats a screenshot from elon musk's twitter
thats why its called the elon musk build

Yeah, Ray tracing is really intense so that makes sense

i wonder how much of these are gonna be like

It's Armored Peak for a reason
Ac6 is probably froms best story imo

The Armored Core was the bitch ass Iguana we killed three times along the way
im glad the game is a game and people enjoyed it but man, did i hate it. i never thought id not have even a little bit of fun in a fromsoft game
just wasnt for me
i loved it because it was basically a ps2 era game made for current gen consoles
Only did one mission so far and I agree it's peak

I love the mohg fight so much

Rellana is down
Parry strats ftw
Parrying in this game feels so clean when it actually works
that reminds me i still need to no-hit the dlc
oh crap actually i need to beat the dlc at all
i heard the final boss got nerfed so that should make it easier
Final boss got nerfed?
You also can roll the anti-tarnished slash

finally got to play AC6 again, first thing i did was absolutely destroy balteus (3 attempts)
i remember this fight being extremely difficult my first time, so idk if im just better at the game despite it being a very long time since i first played it, or if i just had better stuff for the fight
i need to find some crates
are there any in chapter 1
If you first played around release, Balteus got nerfed quite hard since then
i did first play around release
so thats likely it
i think i also had the same setup that i won with
well a little bit different so it might have been better or around the same effectiveness
basically i just remembered that using a energy weapon was really good the last time
It's a combination of being semi-poorly equiped and a lack of experience at that point in the initial playthrough
Sekiro is too easy and parry should have had a longer cooldown
play charmless
charmless + demon bell
makes it a lot harder
and if that still isnt enough play resurrections mod
you increase cooldown you gotta rebalance everything
Parry has a long cooldown
Are you talking about deflecting?
is not a parry a deflection
w/e you wanna call the mechanic that you can just spam and the only bad thing that happens is you dont get a perfect parry
should be more
you posture broken
your not far into the game are you
Play the hard mode of the game then
ive beaten it 3 times
ok parry spam losses as soon as you fight genichiro the frist time
sekiro's literally super easy if you played it before
its super easy period
i'd say if there's ever a sequel they should make the bosses more similar to the buffed up ones in the boss rush modes in difficulty
my biggest gripe with the game isnt the difficulty but instead that you have all these abilities you can get and you're probably using about 10% of them in fights
also the whole prosthetic upgrade tree sucks ass
every soulsborne is super easy
every single one of them is a pure knowledge check and i find it weird to pretend any of them are particularly more or less difficult than the others because its just an experience knowledge check game series
i think later souls games at minimum lean more towards actually practicing against bosses as opposed to dark souls 1/2 and demons souls where it's basically as simple as making a build that wins
though elden ring has it's fair share of cheesey builds nonetheless
yeah and sekiro is hard cause it isnt a soulsborne
idk how anyone can call it easy
ive beaten it like 6 times and i still struggle a fair amount
i mean if you use umbrella its easy
umbrella is just cheesy
i think some fights are made too easy with prosthetics and other fights you can use prosthetics in cool ways that dont make it that much easier
prosthetics are a cool addition you just kinda have to force yourself to use them
some people are just better at specific stuff than others
obviously it's not a competition and finding sekiro piss easy doesnt make you like, a better person or whatever
im convinced this ac6 mission just never says you're done collecting battle logs
theres an infinite amount of them
oh finally i did it
ive never seen someone have worse takes about from games than compound
im sorry but its true
if you want actual punishment for blocking something, go demon bell or charmless
i was fighting ssi charmless yesterday and i was taking half of my (almost maxed) health from blocking a single attack
this is not getting into the fact that you'll be at full posture for most of the fight in later bosses, meaning if you block anything you get posture broken and die.
No ive seen worse, dont ask me about any from soft other than sekiro
dont ask me my opinion on ds1
that actually makes me wonder what everyones hot takes are from soft. i have an interesting one since people seem to make it into 2 hot takes
i just really hate ds1
i think every single boss in that game is just not a good boss
including the dlc ones, though they are still the best bosses in the game
really close to being good, the only change they need is being in a better game tbh lol
artorias in ds3 would be a much better boss than artorias in ds1
i dont know how much of a hot take this is tho, ive seen plenty of other people who hate ds1
its just a somewhat unpopular take at least
mohge is inherently poorly designed, needing to get the crystal is dumb as fuck and the fight would be better off if that was removed. my actual hot take this is indicative of souls design and the only reason from soft gets away with this kind of archaic adventure game design do it not because game good but because people wont take time to differentiate between difficut and activly antiplayer.
that is the coldest souls take
uhhh
in fact i think that is the majority opinion
no ive argued with literally half the souls fans here that mohge is bullshit
mohg isnt stupid its just that one mechanic
i no-hitted him and i just decided to ignore the damage from it for the sake of having a fun challenge instead of melting him before the move
and that mechanic requires you to do one of 4 things
- rebirth to get enough health
- look up where the item is
- look up where all the estus are
- get really good/lucky
non of these are fun things to do
See, I like DS1 but I also think this
ER's base game imo is so full of filler crap that it makes coming back to the game a pain in the ass
the map's just way too big for it's own good and they could've cut alot of it down
on a first playthrough it's amazing because every new location could be a game changing discovery
new weapons, spells, key items, etc
any other playthrough though, travelling around the whole map picking up every golden seed, every tear, every smithing stone, the weapons you need, the spells you need, and everything else is just a massive pain in the ass
the dlc isnt so bad because the map is smaller and denser so you arent just endlessly riding torrent
and you dont need nearly as many items
so maybe my hot take for souls games is that the next souls game should just not be open world at all
yeah this is true
i feel like thats not too hot
i do agree that the dlc was a lot better
ds3 used to be my favorite but i think the dlc bumped elden ring up to the favorite spot
itt was better, yes, but there was still a lot of wasted space
see, for example, cerulean coast and charo´s(? hidden grave
there´s nothing there
you have a point yes
its a really pretty place
and it would have been cool fighting a cool boss there
i mean theres putrescent knight
and theres a tibia mariner THAT SUMMONS A ROYAL REVENANT
😔
i remember when he did that i was just like WHAT IM GETTING OUT OF HERE
i'd say it's not one for dedicated souls fans but it's definitely has to be one for the average person
i guarantee there'll be alot of crying online if they make the next souls game not open world
well yeah thats kinda true actually
elden ring brought a lot of new players to the series
honestly i just hope the next game isnt souls
like
give me an even bigger departure from the normal formula
but not another armored core game though that would be awesome
give me something NEW
Haven't they already gone on record to say that won't be doing more open Worlds, at least not for a while
actually yeah i think i remember someone saying they're not gonna make a game this big for a long while
miyazaki perhaps
people are still gonna be mad sadly
it's gamers we're talkin about
True
well yeah for sure
Gamers do hate video games
i hate video games that i hate and i hate video games that i love
except for outer wilds i love outer wilds!
there isnt a single drop of hate in my heart for my love outer wilds
just ignore the internet forever and ever and never let other people's opinions even come near you
:)
massive dumbass
i love fledspar
as long as you dont spoil the game for people who havent played it, i dont care what you say about the game
i love all the games i play even if i hate them
