||Messmer|| is a lot of things I dislike about modern souls games. Nonsense delays, input reading into oneshot, every combo has a built in dodge roll trap sequence, shields are not very useful and a waterfowl dance like move that takes like 15 tries to figure out.

hot tip for anyone fighting the first major boss of the dlc as a sorcerer, using the chilling mist ash of war is actually amazing for this fight since the boss frequently runs right into the mist and it applies a frost buff to your weapon

|| I made use of the carian knight's shield at max level, used some shield buffing talismans and guard countered her entire first phase and carefully picked out punishes in the second ||
|| it was actually pretty fun because, as broken as she is, it makes stamina management for blocking her a real fun challenge ||
|| you're constantly checking for gaps to stop blocking and letting your stamina regen, and in the second phase her fire attacks make her chip you away so you're forced to mix blocking and rolling to get punishes ||
|| if you're playing a sorcery build too you can totally just use night comet on her and she wont dodge it ||
