The maps are located at the beacon markings when you open the map, even before you find the map piece

The build is going good, I'd tell you not to go past 40 Vgr if you're not going for PvP
Then focus on Dex, because your damage will come from it

Depends on what do you want to build for
Both blades are good and definitely viable, but neither is meta
Dragonscale Blade has good damage, but no bleeding. Lightning and Frost only when you use the Ash of War.
Serpentbone Blade is actually very strong if you want to have a poison focused build.
I can give you some katana combinations that will deal A LOT of pure damage if you upgrade them and bleeding which is the best status in the game
If you don't wanna be OP and just strong enough to beat the game while maintaining it pretty hard, both weapons are a good combination

For buffs, I can tell you how it works
They kinda are important in Elden Ring
There are many kinds of buffs, you can choose which ones to use or not

The Wondrous Physik is very important
We can search where the good tears are
You could level a bit of faith for some miracles
There are craftable perfumes, that we have to search where to farm for resources to craft
And most importantly, I'd say find the right talismans.

Judging from you two weapons, your only damage stat is Dex, but it'd be a good idea to invest in Faith for the late game. ER kinda wants you to create your build in a specific way, by picking one melee stat and one ranged stat, enough in Mind to use your weapons arts a lot, then dumping everything else in Vigor

only invest in Endurance what you need to wear your fashion souls

Putting Faith at around 30 is extremely useful for melee builds, as it allows you to use most of the buffs while still giving you some actual good ranged options, like the godskin blackflame. This spell is immensely useful against late game bosses as it deals percentage based damage

And in terms of damage, with poison + frost you should already be pretty confortable

From the Volcano Manor front door, go straight ahead until the golden tree that gives you the golden seed, and make an U turn to your left
Now the edge should be at your right, so just follow down that path to find the map fragment of that area

If you continue leveling up your current two weapons, and get the right talismans, your build can be very strong

Welp, then again, there are LOTS of buffs, and many of them stack with each other
For your build, my recommendations are:

• Level up your Faith to 25 to be able to use Golden Vow and Flame Grant me Strengh
  Those two stack and will give you lots of damage and defense bonus
• Find the Kindred of Rot Exultation talisman, because it will give you a big damage buff every time you poison or rot any enemy
• Find the Dex Knot and the Thorny Cracked Tear for the Wondrous Physik
• Millicent's Prostheses and Rotten Wing Insignia are also very powerful talismans that stack with the thorny cracked tear to give you a BIG buff
• Have the Serpentbone on your right hand, to use and abuse both the Ash of War and the charged R2

All that will give you a VERY strong build
And all of those stack

I can give you the talismans if you don't mind getting them online
If you do, I'd recommend going to fextralife to get them
The tears too, I don't think I can give them

Just spent an hour trolling in coliseum duels with elden stars and marika's hammer lol

When they would try and buff, I'd cast elden stars and then they would start mashing roll so I'd run up to them after their stamina ran out so I could 2 hit stagger with Marika's hammer, and then 1 shot finish with a critical hit from my dagger

This strategy worked 70% of the time

Its funny that it had as high a success rate as it did, because I should not be getting away with casting elden stars with how freakin long the charge time it

Commander Niall on the other hand, you can know exactly what he's gonna do, and he still makes it hard af to dodge and it it taps you, you lose half your health. Mist bosses I think just lack a sense of real risk and reward balance, but Niall has that perfect balance for me.
