Since 4U they've had the cutscenes be the first time you encounter the monster on a quest it'll always spawn in a set area, and entering the area procs the cutscenes

The problem arises when you have multiple people, the main person has to go see the monster and see the cutscene before everyone else can go fight

for me the main problem was everyone needed to see the cutscene on their own

so it became everyone jumping into the quest, skipping cutscene, abandoning, then doing the hunt for real

So they'd either have to do wack shit like have the monster not spawn till the cutscenes starts, or (this is prolly the best idea) once one person enters the zone for the monster everyone is warped to the area to watch their Hunter in the cutscene

Or fucken do a Warframe/other multiplier game thing and require multiple people to be in the area for the cutscene to start

Or hell just have it so if you play in multiplayer the cutscene is effectively deleted from the quest and after you beat it you can go watch it in the gallery

With them just blatantly ignoring the cutscene thing I really hope to God they don't pull a iceborne and half ass the MR balancing

I absolutely loved this, made them seem like actual animals as opposed to "next baddy in a AAA game"

I mean I get that you need plot elements, but having monsters that feel like parts on an environment (the whole point of the games) feels so much better

Weirdly in a roundabout way having snapshots of them fucking around in the wild(s) makes them feel more like animals
