The problem with that is that's a Rise-exclusive ability that was made with the comparatively absurd mobility you have in that game in mind. Since Wilds is basically "Monster Hunter: World 2", it has much more methodical and grounded combat which maps are built around, so it just wouldn't really work as well in Wilds as the core design of the game would cause it to not really work that well.

I've always been against games dumbing down their interesting systems to appeal to a broader audience. Happened with so many of my favourite RPGs. Mass effect, elder scrolls, fallout, wow, Diablo. I don't think world was a bad game but I just found it boring when other monster hunters had such more interesting stuff going on. Maybe it was my weapon but there was an optimal way to play it and it wasn't hard. In rise as a gunlance let's say the enemy ran through me and I blocked and he's kinda far away. Well I can decide to blast off and get to it risking a tail swipe to knock me out of the sky but maybe the monster does his rising attack where he stands in his hind legs and he's perfect height for me to unload a bunch of shells and crash down on him and maybe get a full stun. Or I can do the safe thing and put my weapon away and run to it

The idea of red mode actually changing your moveset a bit to be stronger is a really neat idea and hopefully makes it less "oops, just parries" like how it was in rise
It kinda brings it back to how it was in older games mechanics wise
Here's hoping for wilds they use that bit of code from the shockproof skill from rise and make that a default thing
